I didn't expect much from an arboretum in an arid climate. But it was a pleasant surprise. Well worth spending several hours here. Beautiful in May. Magnificent in October!

No, pets on or off leash are not allowed in the Arboretum. Pets are allowed in the rest of Rancho San Rafael, but not the Arboretum.
It is free to enter, and to picnic. Of course it's kind of cold now, but it still has its own charm!
