The management is horrible here! They don’t care about the residents, and don’t know how to manage the property properly. From landscaping to the maintenance of the building, the apartments need a lot of work. They need to fire some people in their office because they can be extremely inconsiderate!!!!

I requested maintenance for a few problems a week ago. My refrigerator isn’t working properly, I have extremely low water pressure, several outlets not working and my toilet flushes half the time. I was told these are not emergent problems and are not a priority. I would look somewhere else before renting a Township apartment!

Great location! I loved the view from my patio. However, you can pay the same price for something way better than here. The place generally looks run down -- patio fences falling apart, trash laying around, the dumpster is always a hot mess (people leave furniture), random cats roaming around, people not picking up after their pets, dirty pool, my apartment smelling like weed from neighbors, and worst of all, management is terrible. When I first moved in Sept 2019, I was called by management and accused of not paying my rent. When I explained I did in fact, the woman told me she didn't believe me. I had to physically show her my bank statement. What a way to kick off my first month there! Since then there's been ups and downs. Any time I submitted a Work Order, those were fulfilled on time and accurately (probably the best part of living there). My second year there, I let them know I was continuing my lease, but they never told me I needed to sign my lease so I was charged a month to month rate (on top of the raised rate). They had no empathy for me. When I moved out, I had to ask for the final breakdown of cleaning fees ($145 stove cleaning fee - yikes!) they didn't voluntarily send that over. They do the very bare minimum in answering questions and any outstanding questions just sit until you follow up again days later. You can find a much cleaner and more attentive management staff for equal or lesser value than what they charge!

Pros: Good part of town. Cons: Police were called to my building multiple times a day. Work orders took weeks to get filled. Had extremely loud neighbors, was told to call security. Security did nothing. Water was randomly shut off several times, when I asked management what the issue was and when it would be fixed, they didn't know why it was off, or when it might be turned back on. Storage unit leaked when it rained, we were never told about this and it ruined a spare bed we had down there. Was given a key to the laundry room that didn't work. Returned it twice and got new ones, each new key didn't work either. Furnace didn't work, we went weeks without heat before maintenance made their way out to fix it. Towards the end of our lease, management told us our rent was going up if we decided to resign. I told them we were looking at upsizing apartments in the same complex. They said I would lose my preferred employer discount if I moved units. So I would be paying more money either way. In my opinion, I would avoid Township at all costs. I would never move back with as many problems as we had. I've heard it's hit or miss, I know a couple people there that have had little to no issues.

18 and over as with any apartment complex

What utilities does the tenant pay?

Liz Bean | Apr 5, 2020
C Copeland | Apr 6, 2020

Tenants pay all utilities. Water, sewer and trash is billed by the landlord for all buildings. For the older buildings gas is billed by the landlord because there's only one meter per building; for the newer building each unit has its own gas meter so tenants pay the gas company directly.
