I called because, I had three BRAND NEW kittens outside on my porch. I am well aware moms leave for periods of time to eat themselves. When they don’t come back for over 24 hours and it’s 40 degrees outside…abandoned, they can’t survive that long without nursing and warmth. There was a 4th kitten that was already passed when I found them. I called this place looking for help for the kittens. The woman I spoke to was rude, judgemental and thinks it’s her job to lecture people about leaving kittens for mom. Even though I already explained mom was no where for over 24 hours. I had brought them in, have been bottle feeding and keeping nice and warm, but I have work tomorrow. I’m upset enough these babies won’t make it and that’s what I get to deal with.

Every person here is an absolute angel. Even when the waiting room is a madhouse and packed to the brim, they still give every person and pet the utmost attention and care. They listen and explain so well, and answer any questions you may have with such kindness. Also, huge individual shoutout to Adrienne at the front desk of the wellness center - I truly don’t think she could be better at what she does! Bringing my pets here brings me so much comfort, and I cannot recommend them enough.

Good place to go.

It is absolutely baffling how disorganized and disrespectful this shelter is. I put an application in three weeks ago and they got back to me right away so I thought things seemed promising. They asked me if I am older than 21, which I am, and for my father’s phone # to make sure he was okay with bringing a kitten into the house. They never called him so he had to reach out to them instead. Everything checked out with him so I was waiting for them to call me back. After a few days, I decided to call them and no one answered. I tried two more times that week and finally someone answered and said my application wouldn’t be finished processing until the following week. Then I received an email saying they still needed more information. I called them to see what else they needed, but no one answered. I called three more times that week and still no one answered. Today, I went on the website to check if the kittens I was interested in were still on the site, and they were not. So I called right away and surprisingly someone answered. I explained my problem to her and she put me on hold for 15 minutes! Then someone completely different picked up the phone as if they had no idea I had already spoken to someone else first. I had to explain my problem all over again and then she says that they need to call my father AGAIN to verify. I told her someone already did that and they should be past that point in the verification process. But she insisted that she needed to call my father. She was extremely rude and did not see any problem with the first person putting me on hold for 15 minutes and walking away with no intent of helping me. Nothing about this process makes any sense to me. It’s as if they don’t want people to adopt their animals. I’m surprised they still have so much credibility because I have heard nothing but terrible things about them. They have clearly proven these accusations true.

Yes you can. They have a donation bin .
All volunteers to walk dogs have to be 16 or older with an adult. Kids are able to socialize the cats with adult supervision. No more than one cat can be out of the cage at a time though because of saftey of the visitiors and animals.
I do believe if you contact their wellness center which is across the street they may be able to help you.
call awsom theu open at 11am and I don't know age requirements for pre teen or teens but certainly know as far as over 21 you can volunteer as long as you yourself are able .. myself have limitations so I know they'd like volunteers to help in many ways .. go for it and best of luck Jinx wolf
Yes it's a no kill shelter. They are very good there.
Hi Lori, They are "open". We got very lucky we called and they answered so we were able to get our dog. They are accepting donations at all times. When you pull in the parking lot there's a front house and a back garage. Pull up in the back and there's two doors. Theres a bench there and that's where you can leave all of the donations. You can leave them at any time and they'll be able to pick them up.
William, I think you will have to call them. Service dogs are usually specially trained and I'm not sure if they have service animals there.
What website I should check for adoption photos
I was able to view pictures by clicking on the bars on the left side of my screen. The adoptable pets are there, but you have to play with the list a couple times. You should see the plus marks next to it. Pop in and out of the menu a couple times. I just saw the current adorable lineup of cuties.
Towels are used for bathing/ drying the dogs after baths. Always accepts donations.
I'm not sure but at this moment they are not taking any cat or kittens. They have too many. Though they will help you find a place to take a cat.
Yes you can. I take my dog there. They are very nice people.
Taking the dogs for extended walks or hikes is permitted but something you need to discuss with the staff beforehand.
I am unaware of the cost, but they have the lowest prices around for everything I've needed for my cats.
Asked at the wellness center they said the shelter could use it
They are open 11-4 tomorrow. Stop in and ask to see the pupper.
You can bring them to the shelter
You can call between 11am and 4pm 7 days a week to ask. I think even if they can't, they can possibly tell you who can.
Yes, they do
Call a vet or poison control
I believe they do, would be best to call and ask
the time you took to write this, you could easily google shelters in the area or near wherever you're going. I personally wouldn't put a pet nor adopt one from racist unorganized people
Go to the Easton shelter, they do pet matching so you can get a cat with the temperment you want and the application is a lot quicker. That's what I did for my mother in law.
I would think so. Call the shelter to make sure.
I am sure they would be delighted ! So sorry for your loss...
I would say they would take anything related to animals of course , I donated two dog crates and etc.. They were very happy just for those
Puppies cost more than older dog ...we paid about 250 for a 5yr old pit.. I believe pups are about 300+ wuthering all shots current . They also have a pet clinic on site .The s r affordable is super friendly
Yes there is a form to fill out when you get there and the kitten will be tested for any diseases and if it tests negative they will take the kitten and find a new home for it
They had my dog safe and sound for me after missing for over nite
I own a small dog
I'm sure just call they always in need x help and those pets have no voice ... but I'm sure your daughters will know how much love they can give and theres nothing more precious love received and given 2 pets ...they will love them x like ... GO 4
Awsom has a hard time finding food for the shelter pets. They take donations of food, but I really don't think they supply food for your house pets. What kind of food do you need? Helping hands from your neighbors might be better.
You need to call the shelter division
Compared to every other vet I've been too, their prices are the lowest I've seen and the quality of the care makes it worth every penny.
Me no But maybe AWSOM
AWSOM is a great place for pets. You can also apply online for a "care credit" It's a credit card that you can use at the vet and the monthly payments are extemely cheap. Edit: Here is the link. https://www.carecredit.com/ I was approved immediately and used it the same day.
You never know what kind of dogs they are going to have. It's best to call them and ask, or take a trip down, Pets always need loving 😊
Check their website and click on adoptable pets. Need to first do an adoption application.
I use Petfinders.com. When you get on to the site you will see shelters. Just type Awsom. But make sure you check it every day. New furbabies get posted every day
They generally do have pictures available on line. You have go to their website and check.
I've donated blankets and towels there, I don't see why they wouldn't accept sheets. that's very nice of you
Yes they handle all pet related illness
I would think it's a personality preference. Some people are scared and some people are not. Same with cats.
It's about absolutely being able to Control your pet, a 10year old will not pay attention till the pet runs away with leash ,without a 10 year humankind behind it
You should call them directly. The last time I was there (recently) they had a sign up about not taking in any more.
I do not know but I am sure you can call them for an update of their animals.
You can go on their website and I believe you can donate on there also. You should be able to put it in someone else's name. Not 100% though. Www.awsom.com
I recommend calling the office.

Cats are less then dogs I believe. Check their website and click adoptable animals and they also have applications and all information there.
You can check the website too. Puppies don't come around that often and when they do, they tend to get adopted quickly. This also makes a better case for calling. Sometimes pups don't stay long enough to make it to the website.
Aww what kind of dogs
I'm not sure. You can call them and ask or possibly check on their website.
The facility is the best it's ever been...they have commercial crates on the property in addition to being open 7 days and fully staffed...they even have a clinic on property but call for times open... You will be amazed how well the place is kept and worked...
Just show up go to the front desk and you will be directed to the right person.....all volunteers are precious
Call to be sure of there hours.. .and by the way the "shelter is outstanding" and they do a great job
I believe They are taking everything that could be used for the benefit of all the animals in their care
