I was there for Back Pack Buddies fundraiser, all employees were very friendly and helpful, the building we used was very clean.
ADRIENNE STARR
RVing so brought our own rooms, but all of the services we used were provided by helpful, friendly people.
Jim Loveland
Favorite campground at the beach.
Edna Marie Chappel
the staft are very disrespectful. They over charge. An example 5 dollars a day to park and i was a resgested guest. I50 dollars a month to park at your site that i payed for. They move you around a lot. Even only one spot back. I will never go there again. They are new people in the office. In my opinion i think they are pocketing the money the over charge. The secretly guards are nice and friendly.

Yes. You can see a complete list of our amenities on our website at www.LakewoodCampingResort.com
I just called Graham Golf Cars (you have to rent from them) yesterday & I was given a $330 estimate for 6 day rental
As long as you are responsible and not overt.
I would call the office to find out
You should be able to hook up I did
As far as to sleep in or like canopy tents for shelter they have certain sites only for tent camping and yes u can use canopy tents also
Yes, been going to Lakewood Resort for 40 yrs. Love the place and the People. People also decorate their carts for the golf cart parade.
Yes they do you'll love it there great people
I was thinking more of mobile homes or park models you can buy
Yes it is you can have 2 dogs max and I didn't see a play area but there could be one and you can have them on the beach before 10am and after 5pm
During the summer months there are chairs and umbrellas to rent thru the life guard. They do daily and weekly. Prices every year are different.
It is included they will give you wristbands to wear which will be all that's needed to enjoy ALL the amenities
I think so but I'd call the office.
Yes and you have to make sure you are wearing the bracelet that gives access to use it, it's clean and right by the water... beautiful!
Why would you mwat to stay here? The security threats you like your trash
Yes I've seen a few while there. But this being " snow bird " season, alot including camping spots are booked into no vacancy for weeks. I'd give them a call

The answer to this question is yes and no! The yes part: You can bring yours if, and only if- you store it there with them and have it inspected by Graham Golf Carts there on the property, have insurance on it and pay the cart fee, or you have a physical disability ie: no leg and have your gas and brake custom made to be used by hand but you have to call before hand to let them know you'll be bringing it with you and they'll let you know if you need to bring any insurance paperwork. Now as far as if you just have a golf cart and want to bring it with you so you don't have to pay to rent one then NO you CANNOT do that. We have been coming the Lakewood for years and have our own golf cart but we are not allowed to bring it and believe me we have asked multiple times and even tried to do it when staying for extended periods but no such luck. I have been thinking of "storing" mine with them for the summer and seeing if it's cheaper then renting one everytime we're there.
I have seen tents at Lakewood. Pretty sure all sites have water & power.
Yeah we're here now and bathhouses are rough, poor draining in the showers had u standing in water taking a shower and toilets looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a week! Thank the lord for shower in our camper we just had extra family for a night and hated they used the bathhouse.
No, very doubtful they'd know you had more
They should have all that info on their web site
Yes bit have to call to reserve carts n rates vsry
Most are air conditioned and well maintained. Hope you enjoy the campground.
No. Need to bring your own rack....or string lol
Either early or late, we usually get there about noon and they let us in
I would suggest calling the main office. I have stayed with nore than 2 adults and know of others. However I may not be aware of a ruling on numbers. I do find only 2 adults a bit strange.
I think aroud nine.....they have brochures to let you know whats going on.
I only seen 1,and that was a customer. Otherwise no fire pits
Don't know exactly. They have a web app you can download on your phone with information you need. We rented a camper for the week.
Yes
We were passing through last week, and it wasn't open yet.
Yes different sizes and amenities, very nice some even allow pets.
Rentals are "summer" homes. Or houses built high.
Only during horse week however it is hosted by the American heart association and you must be registered with the association it's a private event
You would call their line and ask to be transfered to they're LCR department it's a separate entity that takes care of the villa rentals within the grounds
If you are in a villa rental, you are permitted the amount of people who can stay with you by the number of wristbands you were given-
No. They're illegal in Horry county year round. Canopies are legal in Myrtle Beach city limits from Labor Day to Memorial Day but not during the summer.
We have annual lease properties. You can visit our website for current listings.
Yes. You must call and provide membership number to receive discount.
Yes
Yes as long as they aren't booked
The water park is open seasonally. The indoor pool and hot tube was not open when we were there over the holiday. That is the only time we have been when it was not open and it was because of Covid. South Carolina has been very liberal about mask usage, but Lakewood has been very careful!
10am. They'll let you slide a little bit, but they have a check out person that'll be by to see if you've left the spot yet.
It depends on what time of year you go, as far as prices concerned, but yes they are open year round. All campsites I'm 99% sure have full hookup, with the exception of a few primitive I think. You can check out their website, Lakewoodcampground.com Or just give them a call period every single person there is absolutely fantastic, it's a really nice place, and it's a lot of fun! We just got back from a almost two week vacation two days ago and I want to go back!
Yes, we were just there last week. The water park has 3 big slides (1 tube and 2 no tube) and a lazy river. There's also a separate kiddie water park area. Lots of nice relaxing fun! There hasn't been any reported issues related to C19 all year from Lakewood so you should be good to go!
Not for guests, but there are plenty in the area that will come to Lakewood to do about anything you need.
It's like a fifty dollar fee for cancellation
It would depend on many factors. Villa's, lots, serviced lots etc.
They hv a camp store that is open n you can buy all kind of food at their. Ill cafe inside store n the store has all kinds of necessities in it n also hv indoor heated pool also a a game area with machines kids can play. Hope this helps
Only if you own a permanent site. Not if you are renting/leasing.
Probably Halloween
60-80$a day. Depends on time of the week
They only allow if you are disabled or a resident. They also require you to carry insurance on the golf cart.
Yes you can take your motorcycle to your campsite. You can't at Ocean Lakes or Pirate Landing
Yes
Larger dogs allowed? We stayed a few years ago and I cant remember if they were?!?!
Yes. You sure can. Check Lakewood Camping Resort online. The sit map is there. It will explain everything and show the locations of preferred tent camping. Have a great time. I've been going for 51 years
Didn't know they had it. Call office
Yes ma'am. You sure can. I would check with the office on size of your tent, just to be on the safe side. Have a great time. This is my 51st year coming to Lakewood Camping Resort !!
Yeah Walmart grocery store across the street. Walmart super center about 5 minutes up the road. I believe tent sites are around the coffee house. Yes they have electricity and bath houses
Ocean front sites are mainly for motorhomes and trailers. But you can put a tent on their with them. As for using just a tent, I am not sure. I cant see why not considering you will be paying the premium same as a motorhome user. But definitely ask. As for pets yes, they are allowed. Leashed only and can not be on the beach during certain hours.
Only things I ever caught was a couple eels and used them for bait to catch 🦀 crab out of the same lake.
Unsure of the cost, and while I like this place for camping, seeing just in a couple of weeks what the Beach did to our rig, I would try and store your rig a but further away if possible
Yes but usually they close the indoor pool in January for repairs if needed.
Enough said. Front ocean sites are hard to get. I'm not going to try and compete, I've been going to Lakewood for 51 years
Call office - i did Monthly
Sorry, I do not know.
Yes. We had a motorhome and used a tent for all the extra stuff and for 2 of the kids to sleep in. We even duct taped a window ac unit in one of the zipper doors. Worked great! Just make sure to angle it backwards so the condensation runs into the grass and not back into the tent
Some houses do include golf carts. I rented near pond n had use of their golf cart.
Only on double sites.
You can put in all that info online & pick your lot location & get an estimate price.
Lakewood has campers for rent inside the campground. They are mostly called villas. Call Lakewood Properties or go online to Lakewood Campground. The week runs from Saturday to Saturday
Check in was at 4 but I got there a little early around 2 an they allow me to check in
I'm unsure since I don't live in SC but NC.
I do not know neither. All was good when I was there.
It's too early to tell. Please tune in to the Lakewood website (www.kakewoodcampgtound.com) for their current info and to the South Carolina FEMA website for info on traffic is allowed to flow back eastward towards the Atlantic. Lane reversal protocols have been, or are about to he imposed and campers are already leaving the park for higher ground.
Yes all on the north side of the resort but on the south pets are prohibited.Rental properties are not. Cheap either so it is up to you if you want to buy one.
No
Yes, with some size restrictions, just make sure and get the details when you make your reservation...
Ask at the front desk because I believe you have to pay an extra fee.
Firewood is still at camp store. As the others said the store has been remodeled and carrys significantly less than it use to
They do have rentals. Just go to the information center which is next too the water park entrance. Make sure you have your wrist band. There is a refundable deposit.
Same as most camp sites stores but Walmart is a cross the road
Yes depending on the size you want
During the off season (from the second week in September through the third week in March) campsite rentals have a weekly discount of 10% of each night's regular rate is offered when 7 nights or more are paid in advance. 30 day extended stay rates are also offered during the off season. This discount is available when 30 nights or more when paid in advance. Weekly and monthly discounts are also available when renting vacation homes also referred to as park models.
No pop up canopies, not even small ones. I have s 3x6 and had to take it down
There is a minimum rental requirement during the period between Jan 1 through March 29 and betweenAug 19 through Dec 31. There is a 7 day minimum rental from March 30 through Aug 18...
Around $40. $50.when we were there.
As the others said you can bring your own or rent them. Its honestly cheaper with your own but its 1 more thing to pack. If you have plenty of room bring yours and save $
I'm not sure but looking at the map it appears to be two or three hundred. I could be wrong on the guesstimation but it's definitely a lot.
Yes, various regulations apply, ask for details when you make your reservation...
The maximum weight of a rider is 300 pounds and a minimum height of 48 inches tall is required to ride the waterside...
There are RV site full hook ups, yes. It cost us $750 for a week.
Chlorine
Yes it is. The site info is through Mary Kate in the reservation dept. She is the only one that books sites for the ride. If you are a rider then you have to pay the registration fee to the AHA. Site and ride ar two separate fees paid to two separate places.
They are included on the price of your reservation as well
No grills, you need to bring your own.
For access to the amenities yoy'll need to purchase a wristband for each person in your party who wishes to use them. Just be clear in stating what you want when you checkin...
Sometimes yes sometimes no. But they are lots of fireworks to be seen from the campground.
No i don't think so
You'll have to call the office, but I dont think so.
Yes
a
Security should be alerted ASAP
I don't know anything about horses but yes they do have rentals onsite.
Did you ask for an alternate site? They will usually try to accommodate you if they can.
Parts are. ...trees are scattered. I used a cobo of the website map and Google maps to pick my site.
No. You can even add a card to the bands to buy stuff with at the shop or restaurant . You keep them ,, however if you loose one during your stay there is a replacement fee
You can go online or stop by the front office and get a map but there a lot of good sights and the bath houses are really nice and clean. Good food also on sight and usually have all kinds of food pizza and subs chicken wings etc. And good fish and shrimp
They are allowed in the campground during bike week.
Wristbands can be used for everything in the campground, except for deposits. Assuming you put enough $$ on your account.
$32-$90 per week...depending on location of campsite and time of year, regardless of tent or camper.
For front row we book a year in advance. Our grandchildren recently booked tent sites. Have never rented a villa. Call to see what is available.
I was told today no personal golf carts allowed. Have to rent unless you have a permanent site.
It will be best if you call the reservation line and ask your question. I live here and know it will love it here at Lakewood. There are so many things to do and of course ocean front.
I'm have seen some pretty big campers come in and large motorhomes also but I believe that there is limited place for the larger ones but I would say probably 48/53 could work but might be a bit cramped up
Are all pets allowed if you have your own camper , or do they discriminate on certain ones?
Yes. Most things on the property close around thanksgiving and the occupancy becomes increasingly sparse. The city less so, and much slower , the low being in Jan.
I don't think so
Call into the front desk.
I don't know the answer to this. I know that dogs are allowed on beach after memorial day weekend . Hope this was helpful.
I didnt see any grills but you can have a fire. I only saw one person tent camping.
