The place is beautiful and all the employees are very friendly. Mark, one of the chef the lady from PR, Mike the pool guy and the guy who work at the beach house are great. We love our experience there.

We are DVC members but have only started at Disney World as we are theme park lovers. This was a totally different experience for us but one that we will now be adding to our yearly visits. Great for the 3 or 4 night visit. The area is full of things to do... Beach, swimming, golf, shopping, biking and other fun attractions. The resort itself is so awesome. Quaint with very large rooms. The cast there are even more "Disney" than what you find at the resorts in Walt Disney World!!! A must try even for those who love the parks.

There is a small airport right on Hilton Head Island but the larger airport would be in Savannah which is about 40 -50 miles away

Yes. There are a few nearby. Theres a wholefoods and a walmart in one direction and a smaller one about 6 min away driving. Theres a publix and a kroger supermarket.
The resort itself has take'out breakfast. I prefer a quick walk across the bridge to Hilton Head Social Bakery for amazing breakfast sandwiches, pastry. croissants, coffee etc...I do it every day for some goodies.
I can confirm there's always someone available at the front desk of all Disney hotels. Might take a monent or two for them to respond after 11, though. If there are hours listed, they're probably for the store and food window on site.
They do have a gift shop. It's called the Broad Creek Mercantile. It's located in the building adjacent to the pool. It can be accessed by non resort guests, but you will have to check in with the front desk at the gate, via intercom, to gain access to the property.
There is a dock located on the property behind the main pool. Poles & bait can be rented from the rental desk. However, you must be a Guest staying at the resort to utilize the docks & rental equipment.
You have to go to there beach house. Its a lil ways from the resort at the beach house you have. A pool or you can walk down to the beach. Theres plenty of soace and yiu can rent chairs and umbrellas as well walk back to the beach house theres a restaurant and bar as well

The Resort has a weekly activity guide that provide a wide variety of events/activities for all ages. As for Character Meet & Greets, Pluto occasionally vacations at the Resort to visit his best buddy, Shadow!
3 BD rm grand villas are located in bldgs. 16, 18, 19, 28, and 30. There are only 5.
None of the rooms are ground floor. The rooms in the main building are accessible via elevator and the one and two bedroom units have walk in showers.
Ask the Disney staff. They will refer you to the right person.
The main lodge does have an elevator from garage level and connected building for stays. The main pool has a lift as well as the hot tub. The central shop area has a large switchback ramp to get to the second floor and boardwalks over high tide marsh areas.
