The people on staff for the county were quite unusual in that they seemed to really care and were very sweet to the animals I gave them. I'm sure they see horrible things and sometimes the worst in people. They were very comforting to me as I was about to cry.

yes. One of them had kennel cough and I had to go back and get medicine they gave me to give to Max.
Hall County Animal Shelter if you are talking about Gainesville, GA. You can Google Your Zipcode After the words Animal Shelter. Or Search for Animal Shelter in Your County, STATE
Sometimes it's quiet. But there are a bunch of animals here at any given time so it can be
Take it to the local Humane Society. The address is 845 Ridge Rd. (Not the dog pound on Barber Rd.)
Yes u can u can take them out side and play with them great people and loving animals
When we adopted a cat, they went to every extreme to make sure my kid left with her cat. The cat was sick enough that she would have been euthanized were it not for volunteer veteranaians who kept her alive. She's still a jerk (so is the cat), but my kiddo cried tears of joy when we surprised with her "fur baby." They went to all lengths to make my kid happy, and they succeeded. Altogether an overwhelming emotional experience.
I would reach out to a rescue group first. This is a kill facility but I adopted my dog from there late Sept as he was on the urgent list.
Because they can.
I don't work there but I suggest instead of the animal shelter you should probably take her to an animal hospital
Tuesday through Friday 9:30-4:30
I'm looking for a Golden but the deposit is $500 -& 600 to pickup. I've always wanted a pup from a shelter. Would this be an all in one place for vet exams and puppies ?
I would take the dog. Never mind the low life's that own it. There was a dog that lived behind us that was obviously abused. Mysteriously the dog disappeared and ended up with a wonderful family.
Well, it depends, like on what breed the dog is and how popular the breed is and some shelters go over priced so sometimes it depends on the shelter too.
Not all dogs are free sometime they are but it cost money to get food and water etc but most you have an adoption fee
I think you should go talk to your neighbors and tell them that their dogs are getting into your trash and you would appreciate if they got a fence over kept them on a leash.

Good Question ! Call the Police Department and ask them. They should have a direct number they can call and get you in to work. Do not Quote me.
Yes it is
As if I hadn't already asked them in order to contribute some foods they need in there diet while getting no proper answer from the shelter . No help here either only an undue need to state the obvious for one's own comic relief What a shame
I dont work there, however, I've done alot of volunteer work there so I have an idea. They are incredibly busy so the odds of them coming out for a cat is slim. I believe they try to save pick up for dogs due to bite rish and such. Also, I had a situation with a stray and if you are feeding her they consider it as your cat because you have assumed the responsibility of caring for her. As far as the crate, they work with bare minimum funding so I dont think it's unlikely they will loan anything out. The facility doesnt use crates often so I'm not even sure they have any.
Yes with appointment
I am a person who has adopted from this shelter and have no idea what they have at any time. I would try giving them a call or better yet just going in they will allow to 'visit' even take the dog for a walk around their property. Hope it's helpful
This isnt the Humane Society. That is located about 5 minutes away. This is the shelter and I believe it is county funded. Humane societies normally are funded by donations not the county. I dont know how you would do it, but my personal starting point would be to call and find out who you could talk to about finding them more money. More funds=less animals being put down.
Nov 1 2018 the new no unsupervised tether law went into edfect... the director of Animal Services explained it : Following the vote, Hall County Animal Services Director Mike Ledford said the new ordinance is not meant to punish responsible dog owners who may use a tether to allow their pets some time outdoors. "We want those folks to seek us out and get the [educational] information that we have that will allow them to do the things that they want to do with their pets but stay within the ordinance confinements," Ledford said. "I think there's flexibility in there for those folks." Ledford said the ordinance will be complaint-driven; his employees will not be traveling the county looking for violators. "We'll go out and act as an educational process for those citizens and let them know that there are other options besides tethering," Ledford said.
I agree with Lynda. They will ask them to surrender the dog and puppies. Bring them into the shelter they will take them.
Sometimes they have chickens, but you have to call to ask. Birds are not advertised or on display.
Bring her in
No one will ever say, "I enjoyed my funeral at fellowship,"
It's a a municipal shelter, and any type of list is maintained by volunteers and can usually be found on Petfinder.com. The actual shelter employees all wear multiple hats, and do their best to maintain a clean and safe environment for the animals. But again, it's a municipal shelter, ran by Hall County. They are required to take any and all animals surrendered by Hall residents, along with the strays that animal control picks up. The number of intakes can range from just a hundred, to close to a thousand, in just one week. Given those circumstances, they do not have the staff or funding to maintain a website. This, this duty is delegated to volunteers. They have to be able to photograph and document each animal, along other things. This is a timely process, and physically and emotionally exhausting,so keeping volunteers that can do this is sometimes hard.
Yes. Or call them to pick up.
I don't know I don't work there but I certainly would ask everybody on my Facebook and Cleveland that seems to be the quickest way to find a lost dog and also on their website they do post dogs that they have been found or lost dogs
Just walk in. There really isnt a process. But, know that they are at max capacity most of the time so there is a real chance that your dog could be put down.
You need to go to the shelter.
Actually, they do, occasionally, get rabbits, Guinea pigs, birds, pigs amongst other animals which they allow to be adopted.
The shelter doesnt get alerted when you ask a question. It only alerts us reviewers. The best thing to do is call and ask
You can call and ask. Usually don't have purebred dogs
Usually they have rescue dogs. Not too many purebreds. Mostly owner surrendered or strays. They are open Tuesday thru Saturday at 10 AM. Check it out!!!
If they are on the website, listed under pets available, they are still there
They accept 16yo with parents' permission or 18yo. You are welcome to take out 1 dog per adult at a time. We visit this shelter as a Family and visit with 1 dog for 10 minutes. The official Volunteers there can tell you more.
Usually if you can get them to answer the phone they won't answer questions they'll just tell you to come up there.
Most animal shelters have a capacity/time limit and if/when it is reached animals are euthanized to make room for any incoming animals. Humane Societies don't euthanize animals so if/when they run out of space they have to turn you away. I highly recommend calling both the shelter and humane society first. Find out which one has more space available before driving out to either one
Hope you find her. Previous answer covers most options.
I suggest you call the Animal Shelter for the county in which you reside. My experience with my County's Animal Shelter (Hall County) has proven very beneficial. I adopted a pet that came from a home that had too animals for them to handle. I am delighted with the canine companion that is now part of my family. I pray that this helps you. - P.Owl
