We had a business/church group fishing trip planned out at Gene's Trout Lodge. Fantastic opportunity to bring your own river boat or rent one of theirs. They have docking boat slips for your boat with easy access to and from your lodge to their boat docks. Beds are so so but just a place to sleep for us. We care more about the river and easy access. Would suggest better towels, bed sheets/ blankets, updated bathrooms, and gas grills would be more accomdating. Overall ... Gene's is a great place to stay to be on the river.

Best available location for the Norfork River! Excellent amenities as well, their web page is a great place for information if you're planning on staying here. You can also call them on the phone and reserve your room, we did not pay until we arrived which was what we were told to do by their staff. We were quoted a $90 rate for one night stay on a Saturday night for two adults and one child. Which is awesome! Especially given the location. The staff member even told us we could bring our pet which is an 8 week old German shorthaired pointer puppy. We did not find out until we got there that the rate was not going to be $90 because of the additional fees associated with a third person fee of 10 dollars, and a pet fee of $35. So I think my total was around $167 with fees and tax of course. Which is still a great rate! I asked the gentleman and the lady at the desk upon arrival about the fees and ask them if they offered a military discount, law enforcement discount or a healthcare discount. The gentleman probably replied that the rates are low enough as they are. I explained to the gentleman that I was asking for review purposes and that I asked everywhere I go. I was met with crickets 🤣 (SILENCE). This is a great place to stay folks and the best view you could imagine for that part of Arkansas! It is also about a 56 second drive away from the Norfolk Lake quarry boat ramp and swimming area. You guys should check it out seriously!

Every time we come we have the time of our lives. Cabins are clean and cozy. The staff and guides are amazing. Love it here!

Great experience! As a Family we visit Mountain Home every summer and Scott and his team are extremely accommodating to a group with very little fishing knowledge to ensure great fishing is had by all. The accommodations are perfect and close to everything g on the river!

Went a couple of weeks ago. They were generating both generators on the norfork and 6 on the white. The current is moving, so you'll have to get down deep, fast. I was told this generating would go on until mid Sept or even oct to get the pools down. Check the river reports before you go. As far as spinners, i was told the blue fox classic vibrax spinners work well (gold and silver). I had mepps spinners and some rapalas and had trouble getting them down to where the fish were
