The lady at window 1 was very nice and professional. When there are 8 people waiting for help is it really time for your break window 2? I know it's more important to be a union member/government employee but how about helping other Mainers.

Yes you can bring birth certificate and any other form of ID and be prepared to wait about an hour

Usually they need the social security card and proof of residency, for state ID i believe it's $5.00.

If I am 19 and I already did a driving education program and completed the hours on the permit but it expired before I could take a test can I just do the driving part of the test or do I also have to do the written part as well?

You can't practice with an expired permit, but if you are ready for the test send in your driving log.
