Driving through the area gives you a sense for the magnitude of the trees that pictures cannot do full justice to. Thick forests and trees measured around the diameter in metres is a treat that awaits you in the Redwood Forests. Lots of pull out areas along the way to stop and admire what is truly an avenue of giants! With waterfalls along the way, there’s a lot to do in the area. An auto tour is available and recommended.

Stunning place, it is unfathomable the size of the trees here. Lots of great walking trails through the forest. Maps and suggested hikes.can be picked up from the visitors centre where there is also a restroom nearby. Trails are well marked out and have some interesting information on the boards near the visitors centre also. Remember to take water with you as it can get quite warm but the views on the trails are absolutely superb and there is no admission fee. Parking is ample at the centre with an overflow car park also available.

This was the second redwood grove I stopped in on what is now the most magical day of my life. Leaving Crescent city in the morning and spending most of the morning and a redwood grove we travel further south it happened upon this one not even really knowing about it. I think the road was like 26 miles long and it was just endless redwoods. We got out and explored and it was breathtaking. Words are too clumsy to describe it. Definitely travel to see this it’s worth flying across the country just to go to this place alone.

It is amazing to have opportunity to walk among all those giant trees, clovers and mushrooms. The trails were easy and provided us plenty of fun and joy. Breathtaking landscapes! We want return in another season to see the new colors and the changes they will bring to the walk.

Didn't see any washed out bridge unless you mean the one to Holmes its removed each year
$8 day fee. Camping overnight depends on the campground. When we camped some were$35 per night others were $45 per night.
Dogs are not allowed on any trails or beaches within the park. We saw so many sad pooches left in their cars (safely, since it's like 60°f)
It's open and free year around unless a tree falls or a slide
Sure. Call it whatever you like it is a beautiful place.
Looks like 24'. Read here: https://humboldtredwoods.org/reservations-and-information
There are over 300 sites!
There all over the place. Puck up a trail map before you depart.
Thank you! I'm road tripping into the state later this summer and just wanted to keep my pup in a safe place so I can hike the trails for a couple hours.
It didn't cost us anything, we did not stay overnight...
Beautiful. It can be rainy, but usually it is mostly sunny and chilly. I suggest a good coat and boots.
Im in sacto.. Smoke is going south its very bad here. Humbolt is north west.... Use google to call ..Humbolt redwood state parks. You will get Burlington camp ground. My wife has the # i dont
I don't know. Call State Parks.
Definitely first-come, first-serve
There is access to the river. If you stop by the visitor center they have maps. Also across from the visitor center there are trails and one leads to the river. Nice bridge you can walk across and sandy area. Also there was a place where you could drive your car to the water. Some trails access is closer to the north end of the trail. Hope that helps a bit.
There are several freeway entrance ramps on the avenue of the giants...101 is parallel to the avenue
Yes in the campgrounds but there is no wi-fi or cell service.. Unless you get lucky running around in circles holding your cell in the air watching for the bars to appear.
There are campgrounds near the coast where you can plan your night stay. Haven't seen any cabins there.
Sorry not sure I know 1 is closed best to call The park is always opened but camping limited there are private camp grounds open
Staying on the Avenue of the Giants over night might be ok this time of the year, but more than that you'll have someone knocking at your door...also, you must be self contained.
