After giving all the police report they kept them then they don't give you enough space to write everything that the other person is doing too you the person in the window didn't say you have to write everything just answer the question and the judge just said you have to fill the paper work again because you didn't write everything that is being done but they see several police report it's a headache

I can’t imagine that working at this place is easy. This has been my second time here since they reopened after the pandemic. The place is different almost empty. It’s weird. I needed the assistance of a wheel chair so getting through the metal detector was extremely difficult. Never once did any officer get angry or impatient with me. Usually when I go to other places the staff become impatient sometimes angry. There was one officer who was extremely supportive and helpful. I guess he saw the look of worry and wanted to ensure that I was on. Unfortunately I did not get the officer’s name but he was working at the main entrance on august 30 and 10:45 am. Another thing about this place is the elevators are fairly larger than other places. The rest room is also every clean. The only issue was the water fountain. I hate using water fountains but water bottles and food are not allowed in the building. I think the people here are kind and mean well. I can’t see anyone working here and not generally caring about people. They have a new thing were you can appear via video. I wish I had known that before maybe I could have saved myself a trip. I almost forgot… there was a very lovely lady at the information window. She was very kings and insightful. She gave excellent instructions and directions. She explained the form in detail and seemed knowledgeable. I didn’t get her name either. The employees here do not wear name tags. It would be very helpful if that did. My only complaint was the air conditioning. It was set at way too low a temperature because it was absolutely freezing in there. Maybe just turn the heat up just a little. I was in and out in under 2 hours which seems great. I’m not really sure. Just remember to bring pen and papers just in case

I've visited this place twice in the last months. The building is absolutely beautiful. The ceiling a massive and the walls are made of a material that looks like marble. Very well built. I've been to other courthouses and they definitely were not as nice and this one. The entry way is massive. If you visit this place please bring a sweater because on the few times I was there it was extremely cold. It was super cold. It was really hot outsideso I did not have a coat or sweater. Even though it was so hot outside I thought the building was really too cold. The building was also empty other then a few police officers I really didn't see other people. Apparently the court is allowing people to appear over the phone or something like that???? If that's the case I really wish I had known that the very first time. But after I found out I decided it's easier to just come to the building. You know just in case I have any issues or questions. The police officers were really nice. You have to go thru a detector when you get in the building and they don't allow you to bring in water it's kinda like going to the airport. I heard horror stories but I was pleasantly surprised that everything went pretty well. The young lady at the window was nice and knowledgeable when I got there but after I sat down and finished my paper work there was someone else in her place. I might be wrong but this person didn't seem as knowledgeable. The only issues I had was the temperature, the extremely cold temperature and the roach in the bathroom. Oh yes there was a roach in the bathroom. It was in the 6th floor ladies bathroom and it was huge. I've never seen a roach that big. They seriously need to to treat for bugs or maybe it come in someone's bag. Oh if you visit this place the drinking fountain was not working so be prepared for that. The police said there was fountains on other floors but I was ok. At all fault rushed honestly. I think I was in there for 10 maybe 15 minutes and I didn't really get to tell my story. I wish I had more time. Hopefully my next court date will last more longer than the last two.

Yes. if your income is under a certain amount. Look it up in ecourts.gov
Give the court a call or just show up and figure what floor you have to go to and find out there
Legally allowing kids to be kidnapped, no investigation by the ACS or the corrupt law guardian, denying visitation, denying access to trial, due process, severe violations.
Go to family court and file a petition. A lawyer is not needed for that part.
Contact your attorney or call the court attorney
You can miss a date . in court. The next date you can't
6th floor. Provide your case / docket number.
Yes.
Chances are it didn't go in your favor, the ruling will come in the mail, follow instructions for modifications.
If it's a child support hearing, the Support Magistrate will adjourn the case and request a second service. However, you must show up for the hearing even if the respondent was not served.
No
Call the part tmrw
Divorces are handled in the Supreme Court, Civil Term.
You would contact the court to file a PINS petition. You can also go to Safe Horizon's (a non-profit organization) Family Court center on the 12th floor for more hands on assistance. They can help explain court processes
All the courts are open
Of course yes, but depends why they take out the kids!
Go file a case for visition of your children in family court
You can call thr DA's office to find out
To be able to remove someone from a home they are paying for, there has to be an eviction notice. Even if the people wanted to call the police to make you leave, the police cannot do that because you would have to be formally evicted
Closed indefinitely due to covid but is open for business remotely at this link http://ww2.nycourts.gov/COURTS/nyc/family/index.shtml
Huh repeat that
It depends on what your going there for
You can always hire a lawyer in any court: that is your right. As for a free lawyer, try calling the Kings County Family Court Help Center at (646) 386-5299.
Go to the county clerk's office and they should be able to give you copies just make sure you bring coins with you so you can make copies of the documents
How long as your daughter been living with you?
Divorces are handled by the supreme court, not family court. You start at 360 Adams st. Enter at the court st entrance. Also, what is an SSM?
First of all you need to get a lawyer.....i see some adds in the subways with very low prices. Since it is contested that's the best way to do it.
I'm not sure, you have to contact the courts
For now cases are being adjourned administratively unless they are emergencies. Contact your local courthouse for more info.
File a request for Visitation
Hi Althea. I don't think that's Family Court. You may want toy try Civil Court. There is a fee and you have to file a petition Hop this helps!
First an elephant do you have to build up a case against him then you have to come up with the paperwork through the court serving him that he has to give you child support and if he doesn't comply automatically where he would be arrested if that's what you want if you don't want that then you're going to have to talk to a lawyer to advise you exactly what you could do about it
You could go to 330 Jay street, 5th floor and file a custody petition. They will provide you with a lawyer if you can't afford one. Good luck.
The whole day. Come early. You'll never see the Judge the same day. Your court date be months away.
Go to the 6th floor and file a petition. Please go early the process takes a while.
Ok.
Yes. 6th floor.
Be there early 9:00am and check the digital calendar for your name.
In NYS, divorces are handled by the Supreme court. Go to the Court Clerk's office to request a copy of your divorce decree. http://ww2.nycourts.gov/divorce/info_faqs.shtml
Your best bet would be to speak to an attorney. Kings County Family Court has volunteer attorney's that give free consultations if you are unable to find or afford an attorney. There are two programs, LIFT is on the 6th floor mon-fri and Volunteer Attorney Program is on the 5th floor Weds-fri.
Cant be sure ... depends on how long ago it was ... if they are there you can check the record room
Yes. It all depends on your income. You must fill out a form and give it to presiding Judge.
As you enter the building and on all floors there is a kiosk with all dates for that day. Or you can go to e courts enter your info and it will show you. Hope this helps!

Look it up on ecourts NY. It would be good if you had your docket number.
Wha if your son.was.26yers and don't want to do anything for his feature
No. You have to file a police report to show cause, then you can file. Only a judge can issue you an order.
Divorce is heard in Supreme Court. He may be able to contact the clerk's office to answer by phone. The paper's usually have the judges name on it.
Your question is a bit confusing. If petitions came from Florida, then that is the state to respond to, New York and Florida have different mandates. I would recommend you go online and access the DIY form for that state. I hope this helps. Good luck to you both.
If you haven't been arrested don't worry allegations have to be proven.
If you reside in Brooklyn, come to the Courthouse at 330 Jay street, and go to the Support petitions room on the 6th floor. They will assist you start the application process. The Court is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday to Friday.
Can a granddaughter get Guardionship ?
You may be able to get a copy of the final disposition of the case from the clerk's office.
Call the office
Speak to an attorney or call L.I.F.T (legal info for families today)
I believe divorce is a different court. Yes at court there is usually some legal agency to speak w/ but not sure of the floor. I suggest Google and contact L.I.F.T. (legal information for families today). They offer legal info via phone.
Look it up in the NYC e Court system... Make sure you have your docket number or case ID.
Speak to an attorney.
No, modify your child support order
You need to have a legitimate reason and support to have a hearing adjourned in family court.
It's free and in Step six.
Check department of vital records
Yes but you can't record or take photos. Your phone will be confiscated
Call the general number and give them your information and what part you're expected to call
You can tell the Judge.
Family court doesn't handle divorce. You can download the form from supreme court website
Not sure you can. Speak to an attorney or contact the court to ask. Or call L.I.F.T. (leagal info for families today) to get answers via phone. They are located in NYC.
Speak to an attorney. Go to legal office on the 3rd floor.
Go family court and file for custidy. Go to the 6th floor and file for custpdy.
No. The child must live in YOUR residence for over 6 months and YOU must support the child financially over 50% of the child's needs.
No.
In most cases, yes. The Judge will determine if you are eligible.
They stop letting people in a 4:45. I would get there by 4:15 to play it safe. That's if you're picking up a copy of an existing order.
Yes. You can call their customer service office located at 151 west broadway in manhattan to give your new job info.
The court will notify her and if she still don't come in then an order will be entered on her default
Just about. You should apply for full custody if there is a child support case.
She do not need your consent to leave the state with the child. You did not specify what kind of petition you filed but if she doesn't appear in the court date you are required to present proof of service. The court will then adjourn the case and notify her, if again she don't appear then your petition will be addressed on her default.
The magistrate may ask for proof that the respondent was served. Then he/she can either adjourn the court date; which is most likely, or make a ruling in favor of the petitioner.
Should take a few weeks 3-4
How it works
usually, the answer is no. call in and explain that you couldn't make it to court because of snow but, it has to be a very bad storm
just decorations
Yes
It depends, are you starting a case against someone, filing a petition? Then no but get there at 930 or 230.
Through your attorney and/or through Administration for Children Services (ACS)
Typical NY city run office. 150 people and not one knows how to answer the damn phone. Yet if they do all you get is nasty, rude, or disrespectful people. Who often behave as if they are doing you a favor by doing their job. I've been calling for 6 months from out of state, still no luck.
You must file a "PINS" petition through Family Court. PINS is an acronym for: Person In Need of Supervision. Family Court personnel are usually available to assist people or they will direct you to someone who can.
No
Go to police department office
Come to the court one week before you schedule date and let them know you want to change you court date
Go to family court ask for the package
Notify the local police first, then Family Court.
Yes 4th floor
Try ecourts. I think you can check on there.
