Why court dates take sooo long to get?!? Our tax money is not working properly, especially in NYC “the greatest city in the world”. Thats just lame, when we plead for justice to be working and its taking months and months and years just to get a court date and a verdict. Thanks to you, Im about to lose my property bc of tenants not paying for no reason and not trying to pay their rent. Shame on the system for not working to justice. Other cities are more efficient, fair and caring for tenants and landlords. NYC never takes care of its people.

The best housing court because the judge cares and the staff. They want to help not evict you from your home but you have to show you are trying to make make payments. I honor the judges because they are next to GOD. Esther Gangadeen On 9/28/17 I had to go back to court to show cause and Carol the court Police Officer was an angel . She helped me and my family get a court date. Thank you Carol and God bless you endlessly. Also Lisa in room 235 was so helpful to my son Jason. And also the young lady at on the 2nd floor the area your show cause: eviction papers etc. Everyone are helpful and never shows a unhappy face. They like their jobs and have empathy for the public. Everyone are very professional and respectful. Thank you so much. Esther Gangadeen

Is there someone available to discuss an eviction
If a tenant refuse to sign a lease what can I do
Mr Benoit, the Queens County Civil court is closed tomorrow 3/18/20, and will remain closed for the near future. For now, it's on a wait and see situation.
Then you can refuse to pay rent, if landlord take you to court , then you explain to the judge, soon things will be settled
No is the short answer. All legal basement units must be filed with DOB, and added to the Certificate of Occupancy. All apartment must have two means of egress, a minimum of 7'-0" floor to ceiling Hight, and windows in all living areas.
Answer on GOOGLE. Its a government building lol obviously 9-5pm Eastern
Come into court and file the complaint bring pictures hopefully you will be able to get some action. Sounds dangerous
Give them a call
If they make noise after 11 pm then you can call the cops
You must go to housing court and see the Information Officer at the door who will guide you
You should have some substantial reason for that, such as the person is not paying the rent or his or her presence in the home is vulnerable and has been arrested for a crime. In any such cases you have to go through any tenant/ landlord attorney.
Technically, he has nof surrendered possession until you have the key.
No
Mom has to go to court to remove you. It is illegal lockout. You have authority because you are on the lease. But be respectful and do the right thing as a son. You can start a HP action in housing court for an illegal lockout. Go to 2nd floor and file for free.
What I did was go to the court and get documentation that your judgement has been paid and cleared through the courts. Toe up any loose ends that need to be handled as far as your judgement. Get documents from the leasing company that you are paid in full. If they don't release the docs it is fine as long as you know they have listed you as paid in full. Then call Experian and let them do the investigation to have it removed. This was my process and it worked smoothly.
Landlord refusal to return security deposit after leaving.
What do you mean by stipulation
ny Landlord open my apartment what can i do i have him on video
You can go to the court house on Stuphin Blvd There is a legal aid table on the 2nd floor for questions, and you can go to first floor as well. Just have to get there by 8 30 am for first floor. 2nd floor they are there till 11. Good luck

IT IS NOT PUBLIC COURT NOR IT IS A COURT IF RECORD. Go to the court and ask for time to move he should give u atleast enough warning to move...... if you go to court you could get up to a year
I believe you have to go to Housing Court and fill out a form, that is called "to show cause" to the Judge, which means a reason to stop the eviction and then I believe you have to serve a notice to, one the landlord and one to the Marshall. But go the Housing Court ASAP, there are people who can answer this question and help you fill out the forms. Good luck.
Go to housing court and get yourself a mediator. Take proof of payments you have made (for the time in question) and ask them for you help. They also have translators there, should you need one. Good luck!
