Never had this worst experience at any dmv before , everyone is just so Rude and unprofessional. They need to give their employees some training on how to treat clients with respect and also employees need to learn some manners.
Sumaiya Badshah
The Indian female staffs are so rude and mannerless.
John Snyder
Good experience. We made an appointment and were seen almost exactly on time.

Wonderful and beautiful job

i did that about a month ago. i lost the title to my boat trailer. i showed them the registration and my drivers license and they charged me about $10. it took about 5 minutes once i got called up to the window
The DMV stops taking driving exams 30 minutes before it closes.
You should take appointment online before you visit there. Online appointments are taking longer than expected, but you can try different locations to see if you can find the earliest appointment. For now, no direct walkin's are allowed.
You need to go in person or mail an application. Try visiting the DMV NOW web page for more info! 🤗
you will most likely able to do it just have all paperwork ready. ( car title, written statement of transfer such as bill of sale, obviously your licenses) and most of all make an appointment ahead of time as all Dmvs locations are by appointment only. and I advise you to check their website periodically for availability. Good luck.
Yes , you need to take online appointment
A transfer is possible but not guaranteed. You must meet the same guidelines as if you were applying normally. If you are from out-of-state and posses a valid driver's license, DMV may exchange your out-of-state driver's license for a Virginia driver's license if you meet the identity, legal presence, residency, and social security requirements and Virginia's driver education requirements, if applicable. If you are under 19 years of age, you will be required to show one proof of identity, one proof of legal presence, and two proofs of Virginia residency, along with proof of your social security number (if you have been issued one). I'm sure yes
Only if the person who took the pic works at the DMV or if a police report is filed and the accuser wishes to have charges assessed. Verbal altercation will likely not get much attention
I would advise making an appointment. I heard many walk ins turned away the day I was there due to already having enough walk ins/appts for the day.
Renew my driver's license. See above question.
Go to DMV walk to customer service desk advise person you need to turn in tags. Be sure to get receipt of this transaction.
10 sign questions and 20 other questions
You need an appointment for Mondays and Fridays, Tuesday to Thursdays, you could just walk in.
MWF Appointments make the process faster. The joint is miserable enough without waiting there for 2 or 3 hours.
I think it requires to be present at DMV but still you can check on customer care number.
If you're 18, you're an adult. There isn't anything you "need an adult" for.
Idk but they are not doing walk ins until October 5
Make an appointment through the website, directions are clearly posted, but be prepared to wait a month for an appointment.
Proof of residency and you're current ID, I believe.. dmvnow.com will give you all details needed.
No
Wherever state you where born in has copies. That's the only way I know of. I had to go to MD to get a copy of mine. And don't put a protective sheet over it to keep it safe. DMV won't except it. I live in VA
Go to your nearest dmv or mail it!
You have to request it either online or in person at the dmv
Since covid-19 and appointment only, their hours are longer than publicly posted. I had an appointment at 5:30pm and they were still open for it
Your best bet is to look on the DMV'S website.
I'm not sure about that. You have to set up an account t online to review details about payments. Sorry I couldn't help more
After approval you need to go to DMV but you need appointment.
They should sent you an email about the appointment, so search your email inbox and see if it is still there
If you have the ability to handle registering your leased vehicle, you can access your account at the DMV website and renew online. In person visits require an appt, which can be scheduled online. The problem is that the appts go fast. Online is recommended.
Unfortunately yes. Until our Overlord Governor releases restrictions from Covid. Current wait times are 3 months (make sure you have proper documentation) when you do finally get in there. I will say after the 3 month wait period appointments are relatively timely.
You can get the title and registration process online at GoOutdoorsVirginia.com .
I believe the process is you Order it online and they mail it to you
You could go online to the VA DMV website and order replacement plates.
Hi LP, for that small of transaction you will easily find a spot online , so again I advice to check periodically to book an appointment prior walking to dmv . to book an appointment please visit this website: https://www.dmv.virginia.gov/onlineservices/appointments.aspx
I actually was only able to get through to them through their Facebook page. I tried calling and email and was not successful, but the response on Facebook was pretty quick. They were able to work me in within a few days.
No, haven't had the worries of a 15 year old for some time unfortunately. Cool story though.
Registration is proof that youve paid taxes in the state where the car is. Title is proof that you own the car. That should be the only title that exists so it's what you need to sell the car, but you can access DMV online to be sure.
Yes, it's the DMV.
You need decals for both cars. $1 per car. Try online or by phone. If you are near Fairfax city hall, try the Select office inside city hall. If all else fails, find a DMV Connect or 2Go. If that doesn't work, then bite the bullet and go to a Dmv customer service center. Good luck.
You need to pass a vision test: https://www.dmv.virginia.gov/drivers/#eligibility.asp
Search for emissions tests on google maps to find gas stations and repair places that do them
Unless you're military serving overseas you're not eligible for an extension past the expiration. If you are caught you could face up to $1000 fine or 90 days in jail, though possibly only a $100 fine. If you're trying to renew after the license has expired you'll likely have to retake the tests, etc. If you plan to drive with an expired license and the vehicle you're driving is registered under your name then a cop just running random license plates may catch you. Not worth the risk in my opinion.
Usally just take to DMV you might be eligible for a partial refund on the old tags.
Yes but u have to pass knowledge test first
You don't need REAL ID for domestic flight until it becomes mandatory in October 2020. When you renew your lucense before it expires on 4/13/20, you can apply for REAL ID.
From what I can find it seems both people are required to be present with valid identification. "The Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) requires that both the owner and the added owner go to the DMV to complete this process. " Source: https://itstillruns.com/add-name-car-title-virginia-6555324.html
No, the car either needs to be paid off or refinanced. (https://itstillruns.com/remove-car-title-through-dmv-6088316.html). The mom would need to go refinance the car with just her name. It's near impossible to do what you want even in a divorce because both parties willingly signed the document. (https://info.legalzoom.com/can-im-getting-divorced-cosigned-exs-truck-20848.html) I am not a lawyer, and this is not legal advice. Good luck.
If you are from out-of-state and posses a valid driver's license, DMV may exchange your out-of-state driver's license for a Virginia driver's license if you meet the identity, legal presence, residency, and social security requirements and Virginia's driver education requirements, if applicable. See this web page: https://www.dmv.virginia.gov/drivers/#applying.asp
Yes sure just go there and you'll get another one or go online
https://dmv.dc.gov/page/holiday-closing-schedule-016 Normally M-F 8-5 Sat 8-12 noon Sun Closed Closed both Christmas and New Years
I'm not so sure about it? The only thing that I know is with the driver license from other state and addres proof. You might want to check their website. https://www.dmv.virginia.gov/drivers/#applying.asp
I wouldn't think so, but you'd do better to either check their website or call. I went in the day my license expired, and didn't need a test.
You have two choices. There is a DMV office in the Fair Oaks Mall, and another in the Westfields area. As a new resident, I'd recommend the Fair Oaks Mall, as it is much easier to find. Both offices are about equally busy, so wait times are about the same. The Mall has another benefit. If the line happens to be very long, you'll still be inside, protected from the weather. The Westfield's office is a separate building, so you can find yourself standing out in the heat/cold/rain.
https://www.dmv.virginia.gov/webdoc/pdf/dmv201.pdf This document lists the bare bones. You would do well to look at the VA DMV website for additional information. As there can be additional fees or other costs. https://www.dmv.virginia.gov/vehicles/#vehiclereg.asp
Is depending how's busy they are! Some times is to much
Unless the vehicle is a motorcycle, trailer, or semi-tractor you must display a front license plate if it is registered in VA.
The last time i had to do it was over 10 years ago. At that time, i walked in with the plates. The person at the greeting desk who helps make sure you have everything and gives you your number said i could just hand them to him, and he'd take care of it.
You can't you have to take a course through a driving school. After you pass the course you can retake the test for your learners.
You have to report it, or make sure its showing on your records. You can check this online.
write to the State you were born in for a birth certificate copy
