Beware of their lifeguards/employees! I was there for the first time yesterday (August 8th 2022, 12pm-2pm). There’s a female lifeguard, teenage looking, with some sort of accent (perhaps Russian), and with 2 rings/hoops on each side of her bottom lip. Our 6 year old girl who passed the height measurement for the big slide, was rejected by this particular lifeguard on both the big and mini slide, while other lifeguards permit our girl to go on the slides with both her goggle and life jacket on. When I asked the other lifeguard regarding wearing goggle and life jackets on slides, I got the answer “some lifeguards are stricter. We change lifeguards every 10 mins. Try your luck!”. When I confronted the one who rejected our girl, she said “I work here longer than most. They don’t know the rules here”. I told her I find it very unfair that she ruin our girl’s day like that, when obviously our girl was fine and safe. She gave me the attitude with rolling head and eyes and shrugs, saying “if you have issues, talk to my manager!” I responded “well I don’t think it is fair for your manager as well, because how many employees will your manager have to fire, when most of them don’t follow the rules according to you!” I understand she is doing her job and trying to keep it, but that gives her no rights to be rude, giving attitude, and being unfair to the kids. She could have simply and patiently explain to me the danger of having both the goggle and life jacket on during the slide. Other moms who witnessed it all said they also had issues with that particular lifeguard (one of the mom even used the B word to describe this particular female lifeguard) and wouldn’t let their children be near her. Either they have better training for all their employees to follow and stick to the rules, or simply fire THE who keeps causing difficult times for both the kids and parents! She was giving my kid hard time when she didn’t say anything about two girls eating ice cream in the pool, and also permit a much younger boy with life jacket on to go on the slides, perhaps because these kids were Caucasian and we are Asian?! We find it somewhat a racial issue as well! Just know that these employees don’t follow nor stick to their own rules and policy, and it is upsetting that they don’t understand we are the ones paying them, expecting to receive a pleasant time at a family friendly place. If you like drama, then this is a place for you!

This is our favorite SRP pool. The splash pad or "pirate ship pool" is a hit with my 3 year old and my 6 year old loves the huge waterslide at the main pool. Lifeguards are attentive & friendly. Bathrooms are usually pretty clean. We (other moms & I) would love to see a snack bar, or even just a snack machine. Also, a drink machine that takes credit cards. It never takes my bills when I actually have cash. Those are my only suggestions. Make sure to pack snacks, water, and/or lunch. Manhattan Pizza does do a delivery special to the pool but I'm not sure what the deal is. Years past they didn't allow toys/floats in the water but they seemed to have eased up on their restrictions and pretty much anything goes this year. We're loving it!

If you're a South Riding HOA resident (renter or owner), then you can get pool passes from Town hall (or via the South Riding HOA website). If you're not in that category, then the only other way in is via another owners' guest passes.
You have to coordinate birthday parties through town hall. It's a cap of 15, off peak hours.
It's not a public pool. You have to live in South Riding and have a "pool pass". If you live in South Riding, it's free. Go to the main office on Center Street and explain that you need pool passes for your family. They will need a copy of your lease or closing documents.
No food court, but they have an eating area if you bring food and drink vending machines. Admission is free, but you have to live in south riding to get in.
Yes
It depends on your H.O.A. fee I guess. South Riding has several pools that are all funded via H.O.A. fees. Household are issued a guest pass. I believe you can bring in up to 4 guests. Check sourhriding.net.
You have to be a member of the South Riding Proprietary, or have a guest pass from a current member. Dulles South Rec Center has an indoor pool with slide and such, and has a daily fee if you're looking for another option
