This emergency room is awful. They do not listen to you nor have care for patients. I have been to this ER twice and both times, I left in more tears than when I walked in. They did not listen to me or my symptoms. I told multiple people what my symptoms were, they still could not accurately even write them down in my after visit summary. I left with no diagnosis, no treatment plan, and a broken spirit. Sick people should not be treated like an inconvenience when they need immediate medical attention. Ill people shouldn’t be made to feel like what they’re experiencing isn’t real.

I had a medical emergency at 3:00 a.m. and the ambulance took me to this Providence hospital. I commend every single staff member that I interacted with, they were unfailingly polite and helpful and knowledgeable. The system worked like a well-oiled machine and although I was very scared, they did a wonderful job at each step of reassuring me and explaining what was happening. No one ever wants to have to go to a hospital at 3 a.m. I am deeply grateful that when I needed one, these amazing people were at work and ready to help me.

This review is long overdue; 12 years to be exact. Providence Portland Hospital took excellent care of me during one of the most difficult and trying times of my life. Basically, after an emergency surgery at another 'reputable' hospital in …We're so glad to hear that we exceeded your expectations. Thanks so much for sharing the feedback! We will pass along the appreciation to our staff.

My care team was there for me every moment of the way, as my mind was coming back to me, each step they helped me through it. I have to compliment Tsoso and Lyssa. Emotionally they really helped me along the way and getting through being at the hospital. All nurses and doctors were amazing; a great hospital with great care.

It is in the main hospital off 47th and Glisan. It is directly across the hall from the main Admitting desk, but is only open from 10AM - 3PM M-F at this time.
Is it owned by a religious entity?
We just had a baby born there and we have blue cross blue shield and it was accepted.
Yes. If you're a relative.
Definitely call your insurance carrier. And NEVER believe a word Providence says about your coverage unless they're in the business office.
It's available on certain levels of the parking structure. It is clearly marked.
To the ER.
Pancreatitis?
503-215-1111 is the main switchboard. They can get you to the right department. Best wishes.
That is a good idea to have colored contacts, naturally people steal ... scary, transplantation sometimes a need... the right vector control... it is better people use colored contacts than stealing eyes because of their color.
Yes there is free Wi-Fi access for everyone in the hospital actually, not just in the patient rooms!
