I know you get what you paid for but this dilapidated place is in very poor condition. For the rent they are asking right now, I wouldn’t recommend Noel on the parkway to anyone. Let me explain. Here’s a list of issues I found since move in (to be continued): 1. Cockroach bodies everywhere. Or I should say I’m lucky because they are all bodies. 2. This apartment didn’t do a through cleaning after the previous tenant moved out. I had to mope the floor 4 times. Stains everywhere. Surfaces are sticky. I even stepped on broken glass pieces on my bedroom carpet!!! 3. They didn’t bother to replace the toilet seat for new tenants. It was covered with feces stains when you lift it. 4. 2 out of the 3 doors won’t shut. 5. The deadbolt was broken too, which can be a major security issue. 6. Most wall outlets are too loose to hold plugs. Again, can be a fire and safety hazard. 7. Missing racks and covers from the refrigerator. Asked the leasing office they were dismissive and won’t do anything. 8. Clogged sinks. 9. The loud AC leaking water into my bathroom. Also the AC unit takes bathroom ceiling space so think twice if you’re over 6 feet. 10. Again, the inefficient AC struggled to lower the temperature below 78 degrees during days. It just keeps running and burning electricity. As expected, the leasing office told this is normal. Won’t do anything about it. 11. Floors are uneven. 12. Half of the machines are broken in the laundry room. 13. The maintenance ignored my ticket and marked it as complete without doing/saying anything. Not trying to be a Karen but I hope my post can help you decide your next home and push the apartment to do some real improvements. The bottom line pay some respect to your tenants and clean this place throughly before renting out. I really don’t think it’s ethical to charge almost $1400 (as of July 30) a month for an 1 BR like this.
