Have always had a good experience. Helpful doctors and staff.

Called this morning to schedule a sick visit. Explained what was going on and asked for soonest available appointment they informed me it was at 5 this afternoon. Asked if they had anything sooner and was told no and to stop calling back. I have had nothing but issues with the front desk staff. They are rude and hateful and i honestly don't understand why they even work at a doctors office if they don't have any compassion for sick people trying to be seen by their family care doctor.

Took my daughter for her 4 year check up. Never again. The doctor was fantastic she was very nice and communicated with my daughter well. However the nurse. I don’t recall his name. But he was to give my daughter 2 shots. First one caught her off guard. The second one she was scared. No warning on the second stick for me nor my 4 year old daughter. He stuck her and she freaked out I couldn’t grab her hands in time and they ended up bending the needle in her leg. All he could say was “ I’ve never had that happen” and laughed it off. Left the room. No band aide. Came back and stuck her for the 3rd time. I will be changing offices. This is ridiculous. These nurses need to be more gentle. Especially with the children. My daughter loves the doctor. She plays doctor everyday. Now she will never trust another.

They were nice but there is no price transparency. It’s so frustrating to go to the dr for an initial visit and be told there’s no way for them to know how much it will cost. Not a complicated thing, just wanted to know the cost - nobody could tell me. I got blood work done, again asked what the cost would be - to see if I should go through insurance with a high deductible or if it would be cheaper out out of pocket paying the cash price. Front desk couldn’t tell me, directed me to ask the financial office - except they didn’t answer their phone, and nobody was there (weekday, regular business hours). Ok fine. 4 months later I get a bill in the mail for just the visit. I call 5 times and leave 3 voicemails, finally get a call back from billing (they never, ever answer the phone when I call during regular business hours). I try to ask about the blood work - no idea. I get told “sometimes they send it to labcorp, and sometimes they send it to mission” ok, I ask which one so I can find out if I will get another bill, for how much, and when. They have no idea. How much will the blood work cost? I get told there is no way to know. I can speak with the person who handles blue cross insurance. Ok, I get transferred again, and get another voicemail. It would be funny if it wasn’t so frustrating. There is no other industry in this world where I would go somewhere and ask the price and they would say “no idea, pay the bill when you get it if you get one”. The doctors were very nice.

Hello Ms. Silver! MAHEC can't apply to be a vaccine administration site until January. Once we apply and are approved, we hope our first shipment of vaccines will arrive quickly but there's no way to know at this point. We plan to send out periodic emails to all patients with a portal account to keep them updated (first one will go out by tomorrow). I'm sorry I can't give you more concrete details but please know we are on top of the situation and are working hard to make sure we get vaccines as soon as the state will allow!
Hi Donna! We have an excellent metabolic clinic at our Biltmore office.
I'll be glad to try to help you. Which office were you at and what did you lose? Michelle
Hi Meghan, I'm afraid we don't have anything to do with certifying animals as service animals. Have a good day!
Hello Connie! You would need to call our office and speak to someone about pricing....our number is 771-5500.
Thank you for the additional information! I'll have someone reach out to you and make sure you have instructions on how to use the testing device (or we'll get something different ordered for you if needed).
Hi Katlin! Yes, we do!
Hello Antonn! That address does not belong to a MAHEC facility.
Hi Julie, MAHEC provides comprehensive primary care services and ob/gyn services to anyone who wants to establish care with us. While we are not a substance use program, we do provide office-based opioid treatment, including suboxone, to established patients when warranted.
Hello Danyelle! I work at MAHEC and will verify the flu clinic days/times and send them to you as soon as possible. Stay tuned! UPDATE: The flu clinics that are remaining for this month at our Biltmore office are every Wednesday afternoon (10/17, 10/24 and 10/31) and Saturday 10/20/18.
It sounds like the ER physician wanted you to follow up with a primary care physician. If you don't currently have a physician, you can call our office for a new patient appointment. We are closed today for Labor Day, but will reopen on Tuesday. Hello Leala! We are a full spectrum family medicine office. That means we can treat just about everything: sick visits, physical exams, sports medicine, counseling, well child visits, vaccinations, chronic conditions, embedded clinical pharmacists, geriatric care, etc. We have onsite xray and lab. And we're open evenings and Saturday mornings. Let me know if you have a specific question!
