Rude, nasty, and hateful. PORT OUT WHILE YOU CAN! The front desk people that work at the Western Avenue CMHA are extremely hateful. These women should absolutely not be working with the most vulnerable people in society. You can feel the hate radiating from these women. They absolutely do not care about other human beings and are only there for a paycheck and they make it painfully clear. The caseworker are not openly hateful, but they too do not have any genuine concern for the people they are supposed to be helping. It is obvious they too are there for a paycheck and could not care less if you and your children sleep under a bridge or die even. Even if you are homeless or suffering they will not take the initiative to get your paperwork completed any faster,in fact if they know you are in serious need they will take longer on purpose. The caseworkers will not respond and when you try to escalate it they will say they did not know what was going on even though you called and emailed everyday. The one named Paulo V caused me to lose my prospective unit because he would not fax my port paper . I begged them to simply fax it and got no response. Then after it was too late they responded to say they didn't know what I was talking about even though I have a paper receipt from hand delivering the document to their demonic front desk staff. Receipts do not matter they will still swear on God they did not receive it. There is nothing you can do . The supervisors are unreachable. The front desk demon gave me a fake email to the supervisor. My only advice is port out now and expect it to take over a month because they will ensure it takes that long to fax a paper because they secretly hate poor people and they want to see you destroyed.

Does anyone work down there anymore. Dang everytime i call the phone rings twice then hangs up. How do they think we are suppose to get any business accomplished like this. It's crazy how the workers expect so much out you but their stuff ain't even working properly. I'm livid because i really need to speak with someone right away.

One step closer..... I have been on several waiting lists with CMHA since 2016 until now I am homeless have been for 1 year and have been approved for rental assistance through CAA... HOWEVER I have never heard anything back from CMHA. I am asking if this can be reviewed by someone who will take us with the rental assistance from CAA we just need a place to stay I have updated my application several times the address for mailing is correct....even had a EMERGENCY Sec 8voucher in FEB 2022 from CLERMONT COUNTY and they told me I could not port it found out thats a lie due to COVID you can port at anytime... Never received that help either so that voucher was waisted. I really need help and am Trusting God right now that one of his people see this review and email me saying they can ACCEPT US AND THE HELP FROM CAA... Been contacting STRATEGIES TO END HOMELESSNESS TOO no help please review

The worse ever they don’t communicate with ppl about they voucher, they nasty towards folks & I ported all the way from another state just for Cincinnati to take my voucher and not even communicate with me about giving me an extension. They landlords take your application fee and never answer your calls again, Cincinnati was only giving me 2 weeks at a time to find a place to live for needing another extension, it was the worse experience ever & I’ll never move there again

When can i get in one i hope soon as possible. Thanks alot
I was on the section 8 list for 2014 How can I find out if I'm still on there and if so where am I on the list,?
Your felony's must be 3 years old
Call H.O.M.E
95% blacks 5% other
Where were you living at?? I'm not quite understanding what different Apartment did you file for?? Then I can tell you?? Did you break lease..If you got evicted from CMHA. Then you may have to start all over...If you filed for another HUD building that had their own subsidized rent then you cant have both only 1..That's probably why you got evicted from CMHA. Like you cant have Winton Woods and go live in The Former Fay Apartments (Roll Hills)..
CHMA phpne number ?????
Yes you can
In a meeting earlier this year, I heard someone mention that incentive transfers were an option again. Update: 7/4/2020, CMHA will begin construction on new housing in Pendleton 12th and Reading Rd. Call to see if you can get on the Waiting list for that site.
Duke energy I believe are talking about gas electric right ?
Yes I believe that they do
You can walk in I did 3 weeks ago
You have to go into your management office to make this request
Yes
Everywhere is expensive. Total gentrification of all highly accessible neighborhoods. It's hard to say where would be a safe and affordable place in a few months time. A lot of people are being forced out to the Westside and northern part of the city.
It can take up to 6 months i went to a homeless shelter to speed up the process
Shelia, yes there are rules for any tenant of a rental property Section 8/ HCV or Non-subsidized property. There are Good Neighbor guidelines that Most tenants are required to maintain in order to stay in the property. However, if the property owner has not addressed the issue in a reasonable amount of time, putting your concerns in writing to the person as a request and reminder may help. Be careful to maintain a firm but diplomatic tone so you don't offend the intended recipient. Because its about forming a solution that everyone can live with. If that doesn't work, I'm sure there are other means of getting the owner to comply or take in consideration your concerns, for instance homeowner association, community development organization that serves the area.
I'm in Hamilton county and want to move to Butler county, did you figure it out? and I'm on sec 8 program 10+ year's don't they call it porting?
Yes. An notarized doesn't mean anything. You can just provide a Zero Income statement and they will probably have you complete a questionnaire explaining how you pay for things like soap and toilet paper!
Two seventeen with one bedroom , and no kitchen counters. I babysit in my home. I have. Twin bed in my living room. I don't want to be here for that reason
No you have to go to a shelter an they will help u
Yes
If they have completed a RTA packet, you could turn it in if they haven't already. But it is taking 2-3 weeks currently for them to process for the inspections.
Call the health department. I experienced somethin similar. Put rent in escrow acct. Until they move you
I have a section 8 certificate but I cannot find a 2 bdrm for me and my kids and I have to be out of my place by end of month and we have nowhere to go
Depends on the size unit you need. The larger the unit the less availability. Additionally the moment you approach year 3, I STRONGLY suggest you get a physical (letter or email) confirmation that your still on the waiting list for your name will drop
It depends if ur talking about sec 8 or the other side which is public housing
Call them to be safe and accurate..
I agree I think you should go down there and talk to them face to face
*waiting list is different from day today there are two different buildings you have access from both parking lots there is a section8 is two programs I know of 0 % to 15 % living program and the 30 % percentage living program and you have to have a income higher than minimum wage i believe not sure dont quote me jist trying to help and the waiting list doesn't differentiate witch list is open when opening the section 8 Waiting list okay. Now low income area is reddish building and takes low to no income both have a program witch help you get on your feet and I believe you pay 15-30 % of your income and they cover your full living cost gas electric heat and possibly air not sure about the way you would say it but if the living cost go up the program pays for it all and you still pay 15 % of income if you have income at all both have program where you can increase $$$gcb or Talbert house if disabled and they should be able to get you off the street to day or 513281care or 859281care
B's Channel's answer is correct as far as Section 8 goes. Each county has it own Section 8 program. I not sure about how if other counties have metropolitan housing.
Go down to main office on western ave and walk in and get application
Yes call 5139775800to get it
Go down to 1627 western ave and apply you can get help you don't have to be homeless
You should try calling them
Yes ma'am eventually..if your able you might have to just go down to the building and seek out the info you need or ask for the case manager over your worker. Its very tedious footwork phone tagging etc but bout only way get results you need..hope this helps✊🏾💯
Yes, about ten day wait time. May get longer with the holidays
I don't know anything about this
Call them, I know people that have been on it way longer then.
No. Closed Veteran's Day.
Not talking about section 8 I'm asking about Hud or what we call public housing
You might want to ask the people who have moved in who they had to contact or who contacted them. I don't think any CMHA representatives reply to messages or questions on here. Good Luck. Wish you the best.
They have landlords in the building on Mondays where u can meet landlords marketing to section 8 voucher holders.
Years
CMHA is a voucher program. You find your own place and if the landlord accepts the voucher it is applied to your rent.
No
Go in and fill out an application. Take all your necessary documents to minimize your inconveniences. ID, SSCards, Proof of Income.
Call tge Administrative Line listed on the website they'll help you
Income has a lot to do with. They may have something on their website that gives you an idea of where your income has to fall into. Contact HCJFS. They may be able to help.
Yes. Filling out another application is your best bet.
Call 513721cmha
Contact the health department if you haven't reached a solution by contacting CMHA directly
Average 6 months
I'm so sorry but I don't have any 3 bedrooms available so happy to hear about the new edition coming I wish I could have helped you out we only have one and two bedroom apartments
Homeless shelter reading rd
Check out the Bethany House in Fairmount. YWCA across from library downtown. These two places maybe able to give you some help. In the meantime, fill out an application for a CMHA site. You may be able to print it off their website. Not sure. Call Job Corp facility too.
Spectrum, Direct TV
What bus go there
Yes, they re-open Wednesday, 12/26/18
Call the front desk and ask for the FSS Program Coordinator.
You're better off moving to another state and starting off fresh
Call and ask.
They will not tell you exactly where on the list you only that you are still on it
No one will be able to answer a question like that. You should call the office or property manager directly
Having second thoughts about staying on the list for West Union Square. They claim that an extensive background check is done on each prospective tenant. IF this is true, how, then do you allow a drug addicted thief with criminal property damage charges live there. If this is the calibre of tenant being rented to, I wouldn't want to live there.
It may be income based.
Call and ask
Available on the CMHA website
Please, what am i missing?
It's a scam. They never text.
The waiting list depends on the amount of people who have applied for housing and their needs. You just never know how long it could take. Some people say 30 days and some have waited longer. It just depends. As far as the amount of rent, I think they cannot charge you more than 30% of your income. It is subsidized housing and they base it off of all your assets with cash value along with income from employment.
Up to a few weeks.
Years.
Do we have any idea when i been on it for like 7 months some one told me 6 m to a 1 year
Not a question for Google...
You should pay the debt off whether they would let you move in or not. Metropolitan is financed by taxpayer dollars
It's already the 15th. You should make sure they haven't already filed an eviction.
Days, weeks, months,years, decades?
Probably because it isn't your property! Buy your own house and you can do whatever you want to it. Oh, and if you think a gazebo and flowers are the same thing I pity you.
Long wait list.
3951 west 8th street. Beautiful highrise price hill.
Yes, but you will be responsible for the rent until your new lease is signed.
You have to 1st apply to get on the waitlist which is not open at this time
They are not opening the waitlist any time soon
How long does it take to get in cmha high rise apartments?? I’ve paid my deposit. It’s been 8 months now
You can get the fax # online or by calling the office.
I don't totally follow the question. But a lower income does not equal lower rent to the landlord during the lease term. If you can't afford where you're currently at you should sign a mutual termination.
It was sent. You cashed it.
Waits can be as long as 4+ years.
Two thousand twenty according to what a woman told me at the Cincinnati metropolitan housing authority.
It depends.. if you do rapid RTA it would be one day if you did a standard RTA it could be a couple weeks. To play it safe, a prospect with the program should always be prepared with the full rent a landlord is asking for.
You can always go to there office. Most official business requires a stamped recipet anyway.
Apply for housing thru CMHA and on the application check scattered sites. Keep in mind that there is a subsidized housing shortage in the city
Offen partial payments will not be accepted.
Its where you go in front of a judge and tell them why you should be approved for housing
It can take up to five years, I was on it five years...
You call
6 months-1year but if you haven't found another apt by the time your lease is up always request a month to month so that you can move whenever you're ready
Yes
No you must;apply Cincinnati metropolitan h
