Yikes. The rooms were decent, but the hotel itself felt very dingy and poorly maintained. We hadn't had showers in days, (camping) and were super excited to enjoy a nice hot shower. Immediately, our tub starting backing up with water. My husband pulled the drain up and swears there was a pound of hair in the drain. Disgusting. When we came down for breakfast there were only a few things left, and nobody was anywhere to be found to ask to restock the breakfast item. After we checked out, we realized we left something in our room, so my husband went back inside to see if we could get it. Literally every employee was off taking a smoke break, leaving the entire lobby and desk without any assistance. Very disappointed with our stay.

Positive: The room was clean & visually appealing. The addition of the fridge, microwave, and the artwork of the falls really made us feel like home! Location was a short walk to downtown. Negative: The lack of an elevator can be problematic if we were staying multiple days and/or had more items. Location was close to downtown but still about a mile away.

Stayed here for a night in May 2022. Its a ground + 1 floor strip motel standard layout. I stayed on the ground floor, dont recall seeing an elevator to go up to the 2nd floor but I wasn't looking for it. The wifi worked well, the parking was plentiful and the hotel was easy to get to. Approx 15 min walk from the downtown "commons" area along pleasant tree-lined residential streets. Room consisted of what was billed as a Queen bed but I think it was a double. I found the mattress not very comfortable. Bathroom was standard size and appeared very clean, the shower (bathtub with shower head) worked very well with good pressure. AC in the room worked well, if a noisy old under-the-window box thing. TV was a smaller (maybe 32") flat screen, only tuned in to the news on CNN, but there were other channels, which I recall came in clearly when I was flicking through to get to the news. Room had coffee making facilities in it and a good large size fridge that kept my beverages cool. There was an ice machine near the reception that had plentiful amounts of ice for free. Breakfast I skipped but they had a bistro area near the reception, I grabbed 2 muffins on my way out the door in the morning and they were pretty good pre-packaged things. It wasn't a bad stay, just stung a little that it cost over CAD$ 300 for one nights stay in what I'd say was a $100 a night kind of place, but I guess that's the Ithaca hotel market in May 2022!

Positive: Cheap hotel in the right city for my trip Negative: Toilet full and clogged when I checked in. Housekeeping staff had dealt with this by closing the lid and turning on the fan. Floor was not swept when I checked in. Maintenance people who fixed the toilet left a mess on the floor.
