I reached out to Legacy Tree to see if they could locate my biological father. I had no information to give them in their efforts to locate him. I knew nothing, absolutely nothing about him. Legacy Tree was able to locate my father and conducted an impressive family tree for my "newfound" family. To say that this process has been an emotional rollercoaster is not giving it the appropriate gravity. I joke that I "outsourced" my emotions so that I could find my father. Hi Thadd, yes, we have helped many of our clients identify biological family members. Our success depends a lot on the quantity and quality of DNA matches and your family tree. Having 2nd and 3rd cousins’ trees to work with makes a huge difference. This type of research is often heavily dependent on DNA testing as well as traditional records research, so even if you’ve taken a test already, you should be prepared to participate in additional testing as needed.
