Salt Lake Behavioral Health saved my life in my time of need. I made friends there but also the nursing staff were awesome. Dayla and Natalie made a really good impression on me and were the best nurses there. Heidi was an awesome therapist and schema therapy was super eye opening. Staff were respectful and caring. They never woke me up during checks. They noticed I wasn’t eating. They asked if I was okay when I was up late. Staff treated me as a human being instead of a number. Also Dr. Cooley put me on meds that have made me feel a million times better while living in the real world. For the staff I didn’t name personally, I’m sorry, I’m just losing my grasp on names and have a hard time remembering. Don’t think for a second y’all weren’t important. Also can someone apologize to the yoga teacher for me? First class, I had a terrible attitude for no reasons directed at her. Everybody here that I had the pleasure of meeting were great, especially being transgender. Thank you guys so much for all that you do!!

For $1500, My son was checked in on Monday evening.. and then they released him Wed afternoon! No way he was detoxed that quickly. They didn't provide any counseling either. Don't know who made the determination he was good to go....he was clearly not. Sorry, appears to me that SLBH is just in it for the $$.

1-800-662-HELP (4357) call the hotline
It completely depends on what floor the patient is on. But generally there are 2 weekdays and 1 weekend day. Each visiting day there is a 3/hr window to visit. Each visitor/group can only stay 45 min.
No! You're lucky if you're able to use the offered land line phone without staff listening in. You have limited time to call out, and those calling in need your personal code. I spent several days in paper clothes and underwear. My junk was hanging out before I was able to contact a family member.
You can leave a message but they will not admit that the patient is there
Unfortunately they don't. However if you get in touch with your local mental health they can help. So in the slc area it would be valley mental health. The VOA (Volunteers of America) has a orogram for people with no insurance. Good luck...hopebyou find the help your looking for.
