This place is awesome and the family loved it. The kids had so much fun! Highly recommend if you’re looking for something fun and interesting to do in St. Louis.

This place gets bigger and has more exhibits every time we go. Great place for kids to go!

You have to have the documentation in hand upon arrivsl for the ones that are foster children, as for the others if no paperwork you have to pay. But I agree call first. They may do you a deal.
Yes
Yes! Absolutely any age and any walk of life would enjoy themselves there.
You probably didnt pay $12 as a child , they have remodeled expanded and inflation on the dollar . It's a fun place.
What the heck people, it's the first thing on the website. 12 American Dollars
You'll get through the line quicker and make the wait for any others shorter if you buy ahead of time on their site but its not necessary. If planning on going to free family night, tickets go fast so I'd recommend reserving those in advance.
This is posted on the question section not a review- just an fyi. You can check here on Google maps or call them to see how busy they are. Sorry this happened :(
Theres one day a month the web site tells you
Yes.
Yes on the SIDE
Any age over 2-3 will LOVE IT!! Up to probably 15-17 it may ebb off depending on how kid at heart they are for that matter I'm a 31 year old adult and I love going to it because there is so much stuff to do for the adults like climbing the Jack and the Beanstalk if you can fit, and going down the 3 story slide, the bubble room is good, the fishing pond is great. Not everything is just for the young there!
Definitely a couple hours.
For military it is $4. But there was a donation given last year so they are free til this August.
Yes. From their website - "Foster families receive free admission with proof of a current foster home license."
When you pay admission, you get a sticker to put on your clothes, so you can get back in the same day as long as your sticker is visible. You can also bring a picnic lunch to eat on their outdoor grounds, but I don't think they allow outside food inside the museum.
Yes call them but when we visited it was amazing
No. Closes at 5pm
Most days, especially during summer are about the same. I recommend earlier in the day or late afternoon.
Sure it's only $3 from 3 to 5 p.m.. however that is nowhere near enough time to see everything. It would just be a taster. If you're going to go, go early oh, and be prepared to spend the day. There is plenty there for the kids to do.
I'm not sure you could check their website sorry
Yes. There is a small are for children under the age of 2 or 3. All soft stuff, a small ball pit, etc.
$12 each
Although it's geared towards children there some aspects that are fun for all ages. Lots of educational aspects for everyone.
Admission Passes are $12. Good for one adult or child, age 1 and up
When we went it was not free. But we got in free cause I am a foster mom. But for the special occasion it might be.
Only if you're having a party. Otherwise it's like normal museum policy, pay at the door
The cost is $12, with various discounts for groups, seniors, etc. There is a free night from 5-8 every 3rd Friday of the month. Foster families get in free with a current license.
They do offer a military discount. Check out their website.
It's free every day for the Foster child and the Foster family. You will need the letter stating the child is placed in your care and ID to prove who you are.
It was. Yes
From their website: General admission is $12.00 (ages one and above). Group rate is $6.50 (15 or more with one adult for every five children). Active-duty U.S. military and their immediate family members (military ID holder and five immediate family members) receive free admission. Senior citizens (65+) receive $1.00 off admission per person. Foster families receive free admission with proof of a current foster home license.
It is $12 but if you check their website It’ll show the once a month it’s free
Their website has holiday hours listed.
$12 ages 1 & up. Check Groupon first!
No, but there is a day once a month that it is free. It will say on their website

Having 3 kids we bought a member pass which lasts for several weeks and isn't much more in price. You can go multiple times for much less. Also, Fridays after 5 p.m. are free and facility is open until 9 p.m.
I'm not completely sure but I think it's in the neighborhood of 200 dollars
They do have free kid admission nights, the best thing to do is call the Magic House for details. They also have coupons you can inquire about that as well.
Yes they will be open on the MLK holiday at 9:30 am to 5:30 pm. Confirmed by phone and by their website.
Yes they will be open 9:39-5:30
As far as I can tell, everyone pays.
YES CHECK THE DAY. THE HAVE DIFFERENT OPENING TIMES
Hours are 11-5:30
Yes it is
$12 per person over 1 year of age
$12 per person, but watch groupon or living social. I was able to get a 5 pack for $30, so half the price.
The 3rd Friday of the month from 5:30pm-9pm is free. It is very crowded though.
No. I believe the only time it is free is the third Friday night of the month. I know it's a Friday, not really sure which one.
They are open. Hours the same. After labor day, not open on Mondays .
We were free as my daughter is married to a Marine and they have Military discounts, parking is free too!
Yes
We got in free as my daughter is a military wife
It's a fun place for kids. Teachs them how things work, has a little construction area, has a little car they can change exhaust on, the tires, they have a ball that you touch and makes your hair stand out. Just a fun place. Took my grandkids there.
$11/person over the age of 1

The Magic House hosts Emerson Free Family Nights every third Friday of the month from 5:30 to 9:00 pm. These special nights enable a family (up to two adults and four children) to visit the Museum at no cost.
We took water bottles with us
$11.00 each
we have the grandparent membership pays for itself after a few times. well worth the money..the kids rarely want to leave. older teens may not have as much fun...geared toward 12 and under IMO.
the MH is lots more fun than CM in my opinion. lots of fun for the entire family.
I always see them parked in the same parking lot as everyone, usually next to the pavilion with picnic tables.
$11/person. Kids over 1 and adults. Membership is worth it if you visit more than 2x a year.
I can almost guarantee it. A lot of families take advantage of the free nights. I've attempted it twice, and both times were very crowded.
It's worth $11, there's a coupon for $3 available.
Definitely had a lot of upgrades and I would guess they addressed any possible issues that would possibly close down business. Awesome time with my little ones!!
So sad I missed this my son loves that show
You would have to call them and ask
I went there with my 3-yr-old granddaughter. She kept quite busy with what caught her fancy, while older kids noticed different things at the same exhibits. The adults were NOT bored! We played right along!
Chances are they are still useful, but give a call to be sure.
On the website, or go directly to the desk outside the gift shop they will sign you up there, if you go in, and are not planning to stay, let them know you just want member info, they will let you in. You can go to the gift shop, and tyhe food area, if your children are with you, there are several things to play right in that area, they are real nice to people.
Not at all. Lots of hands on activities for kids of all ages even the adults get into it lol.
Absolutely! I think there is a lot to do for all ages!
Yes, I took my granddaughter, and I had to pay as well. but to be honest I had a lot of fun as well, and to see the joy and laughter on her face, it was worth it.
Yes, they do. Up to eight years old. There are two packages. The regular birthday package is $15/child, minimum ten children and up to 30 children and adults total, and the birthday bash, which is a minimum of 20 children.
