When you pay admission, you get a sticker to put on your clothes, so you can get back in the same day as long as your sticker is visible. You can also bring a picnic lunch to eat on their outdoor grounds, but I don't think they allow outside food inside the museum.

Yes, you can! In Sept 2017 we visited. We left and walked down the street for lunch and came back with no issue. The Magic House is awesome!
Yes. They give you a sticker that lasts the day. Lots of great restaurants walking distance. Dewey's Pizza is great and the kids can watch them make it.
