I don’t understand why they would lie about not being able to schedule a consultation. Vanderbilt walk in clinic referred me to them bc of a ruptured ear drum. I called after 5 days to check-up on the referral and the receptionist said they have my order but can’t schedule my first appointment bc they have to get my pre-cert through insurance. She said my insurance takes at least 10 days to approve their services. For a consultation? What are they pre-certing if they haven’t seen me to know what my complications are? I asked the receptionist and she was less than helpful! I called my insurance and they said a pre-cert wasn’t needed for an appointment, that’s only surgery, and Vanderbilt hasn’t sent anything over for approval anyway. I just need someone to look at my ear….typical Vanderbilt.

Like all other hospitals, it depends on the doctor. Would not recommend telehealth unless you’re an established patient who has already been diagnosed.

I was having some inner ear pain and was not sure what it was. My virtual visit with my Vanderbilt Primary care doctor recommended I go here to get checked. I went in, took a hearing test, had a 2 minute meeting with Dr. Trone and was out of there. The whole ordeal cost $900. No one asked me if I was ok to take the test and that it would cost over $560. They clearly just had me take the test because it is a $ maker for them and not because I actually needed it. Very frustrating and not patient focused care.

Original visit was wonderful with Dr Haynes. He said my husband was a good candidate for cochlear implants. That was six weeks ago and no one has contacted us for further testing. I have called and still no luck. My first call I had to wait 15 minutes then I was transferred 4 times with each one telling me yes we have an order for Mr Scruggs. I was finally told they would turn it over to the coordinator and they would call within 24-48 hours that was a week ago. Maybe this one star will change but for now that is all I’m giving.
