You can't swim here. Too shallow and pebbly. Tons of boulders, large metal pipes, wooden planks, and tree stumps in the water. Great for if you wanna dip your feet. We had to cautiously kayak. Parking is $10 and lot is small. Might as well go to lake tahoe instead. 🤷🏻♀️ not too crowded though and beautiful view.

No
Yes. It costs at least $3 in quarters. More quarters can be added for longer showers.
yes
That doesn't surprise me, though I would give the rangers a call, the website can sometimes be wrong.
there are water faucet spread throughout the main road
Yes. There are firepits on the camp sites and we usually bring our own wood.
There is a bike path all the way to the Y, which is the center of the locals' side of town. That is about three miles away, and you can find restaurants, breweries, clothing and groceries there. The casinos are much further away, on the other side of town.
All spots are the same price. About $35/night. Not open in winter.
Not good.. it was still a great place to stay.. go ,!!!!
You can park multiple cars at each site.
I'm not sure. I have a home in the city of Lake Tahoe .
Yes campground closed
Their website states "Pets are allowed at all tent and RV sites (max of two pets per site. No pets permitted at yurts. No pets on the beach." Check it on https://www.recreation.gov/camping/campgrounds/232769?tab=info under the Need To Know menu We had our dog with us while the campgrounds were closed and he was on leash. There were other dogs off-leash with their owners nearby as well.
It's a great place to camp plenty of. Room
Yes. Sunset to sunrise
Yes, Labor Day weekend.
Yes, they can allow more people per site. Just let them know at the entrance kiosk. Have a great time!
There is water that could be retrieved from spigots around camp, there isn't any electricity, you have to bring your own generator.
Yes they do
4pm and 10am if my memory serves me. That said there is more flexibility outbound, particularly if it's a Sunday/end of long weekend
I would say you're good with two mid size tents and two cars.
Ours did, there are signs about dogs on leash, but no gave us grief about letting our lab go for repeated swims.
If you hike in from the north, away from the camp sites, you can spend the whole day there for free!
There are typically fireworks over Lake Tahoe but nothing at Fallen Leaf Lake Campground.
Reservations are advised.
The day area parking lot has a few picnic tables there.
Not sure, I've seen some huge ones there
Yes some spots
The park doesn't open till mid May. You can walk in on the road but it may be snow covered they don't plow in winter. Most campsites have some shade some more than others.
Usually 2 cars per site. The second one if not connected to a trailer has to be paid for. If it's a camping trailer with a vehicle it doesnt count as two.
Unable to say but the campsites are huge! Call them.
There is no dump station at the Fallen Leaf campground but Camp Richardson has one at the entrance of their RV Park, about a 1/2 mile up the highway. If going towards town turn right. A key must be obtained and a $10 fee will be charged--at least that's what we paid last summer.
Every space is set up for tents or RV
I think you can book a whole week if you wanted to. The only thing is, you must reserve a camp site online or by the phone, and you have to do it like 6 months in advance. Otherwise if you just go to the campground you will rarely find a site open. And even if you do, good luck trying to stay more than one night in the same site. It has become almost a hassle to get a desired site for when you want it. I know that we have to put in our reservation the day that they start taking reservations, or it fills up very fast and I'm talking like within an hour or two that day... Well worth it to get a reservation though. It's one of the prettiest places to go camping in the area! It has become my families yearly camping trip.
Double check online, but when we camped there, there were several rv sites..in the Fallen Leaf camp area
No wifi and barely any cell reception.
