Went in to the urgent care during the covid lock down. I knew that it was not covid and told the doctor what I thought it was. He scoffed at me and said I had anxiety and prescribed me Xanax. I have NEVER taken Xanax in my life and didn't want to start then. So condescending and rude!! I went to a specialist in Carson City and he was able to help me. A few months later I had surgery in Carson City for an unrelated issue. 2 days later my sutures split open and I started bleeding uncontrollably. I had to go to the ER at Barton since I was soaking through bath towels every 10 minutes with blood. They kept me in the ER for 5 hours because they couldn't figure out what to do and then finally put me in an ambulance to go down to Carson City. Loved the $10k bill for that considering they did nothing. For years every time I call to get appointments with my heart doctor or any other, no one answers the phone and I have to leave a message. No One ever calls me back. When I do get someone on the phone and express my frustration that no one ever answers or calls me back, the person brushes it off and is so rude. I thought medical workers had to take an oath to care for their patients. No one cares any more. They just want to collect those dollars and misdiagnose. It's awful.

Awful experience. I would recommend going down the hill to literally any other ER if you can survive the drive.
