Big Meadow is a great large alpine open meadow to hike to. The hike from the parking area is only about a mile, and the meadow in Spring and Summer is beautiful. There is a creek which appears at one end of the meadow and tons of wildflowers when I visited. A beautiful sight to see.

Great jumping off point to tons of beautiful wilderness. Big Meadow is a gateway to Christmas valley, Dardanelles lake, or continuation on the TRT. Looking forward to going back and exploring more.

Beautiful mountain meadow with sweeping scenery. Great access for mountain biking and hiking. The parking lot is often full by 9am on weekends!

Can it be expected to be covered in snow the first weekend in December or is it already snow covered. To where u are unable to hike.?

There's some dusting and thicker snow patches in the high country, its not "covered," but things might be different by the first of December.
