The day area parking lot has a few picnic tables there.
You can definitely park in the day use area and then walk down to the lake which I highly recommend. That said no tables or chairs there and shallow shoreline so bring chairs/table or just sit down on the sand/rocks. Also there is a store as you drive into the campground are but no food that I can recall being sold - more 'camping' items (matches, bug spray, wood, rope etc)
No picnic tables not belonging to a campsite. There is day use parking and can find stumps and fallen logs to make impromptu lunch spot by the lake
