I hired Coldwell Banker Meca to manage my rental property. The name on my statements says Meca Realty, LLC. The first property manager was great. After him, I had nothing but problems. They don't screen the tenants, they have zero communication skills, and they are completely unprofessional. They don't even know when the tenants move out or inform the property owner. I have severe damage to the plumbing because I was not aware the renters had left and the power and water were off during a freeze. They want you to pay for repairs and maintenance up front then hire contractors who do a terrible job. I was finally able to get into the house to inspect it after three years and it was horrible. The carpets were trashed, there were holes in the walls, there was trash and random stuff everywhere, and everything was absolutely filthy. The tenants stole the refrigerator and the shower head. Yes, THE SHOWER HEAD. The company can't even do blinds right. The ones they replaced are all mismatched and off center. DO NOT USE Meca Realty, LLC. You will lose money and be eternally angry. ETA: 5 years later and I finally get an anonymous apology on Google that I would never have seen except for a random read-over of my Google Reviews. I didn't even list half of the issues, either. The hallway was so trashed my husband had to replace the floor. We used a blacklight to check for stains because the smell was so bad and there were fist-sized stains everywhere on the walls and floors that were probably toddler pee. There were stains on the ceilings like someone shook up a bottle of soda until the lid popped off. All of the closet doors were broken even though they were "replaced." Up until I sold the house last year, I was still finding and scraping off paint droplets from the kitchen linoleum and bathroom tile where they repainted. My bathroom fixtures were ruined. I guess they ran out of paint on my floors and fixtures because the walls themselves were only partially painted. I had to repaint half the house myself. I see the reviews have gotten better for MECA over the years; I hope for their customers' sake they learned their lesson.
