We stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott on a stop through Charleston while driving from the east coast back to the Midwest. The location was very convenient to the interstate, yet didn't feel as though it was in the shadows of such a busy roadway. In fact, it was nicely situated along the river, but with ample parking and easy in-and-out access. Unfortunately there weren't a whole lot of other things within walking distance, but that wasn't an issue for us. Service was friendly, but sparse as there was only one front desk staff there on a Saturday evening and Sunday morning. The lobby and hallways seemed to be undergoing renovations as there were all kinds of new and old lobby furniture and wall hangings located all over the lobby, but I assumed that was temporary. The bistro was also only open during evening hours, contrary to the signs in the elevator advertising breakfast. No matter, as there is a brand new Starbucks located just across the parking lot, about a 30-second walk. Overall if I were there for several days or having an event at the hotel, I would have been disappointed, but for personal travel it was a non-issue. The kids enjoyed the small pool (even though the water was very cold), and the receptionist was able to accommodate our adjoining room request despite some reservation discrepancies. Everything felt clean, well maintained and comfortable, and that's exactly what we needed after a long day of traveling and another long one the next day.

In the process of remodeling, should be done within the next month. Rooms are clean, comfortable. The front desk staff is great, general manager outstanding. Felt welcomed at this hotel after a long day. Tesla Supercharger in lot is a huge bonus if you need it.

I stayed here on business for one night. The location is pretty sketchy looking for those who are concerned, it’s very run down. The desk staff are rude, but I haven’t experienced anything different from other Marriott’s so that may just be the norm. The man up front gave me the room key to an occupied room, I walked in and there were men’s clothes all over the floor. When I went back down to get a new room without another occupant, the woman at the desk completely ignored me and acted like she was picking up the phone after I got to her desk, but there was no ringing. I went to the man and told him and his answer was, “Okaaaaaaay” and then just handed me a new key. Customer service is definitely lacking here, I wish I booked at a hotel with better reviews. Definitely would not recommend.

The room was very nice, although when I booked it, I booked a City view when I checked in they had me on the first floor Rm 128, really didn't see much of the city All I seen out my window was Starbucks and shoney's When I think of City view I'm thinking I can see the lights of the city and that wasn't the case. Very clean. Bed was comfortable.

Sorry I don't have their number.
No but they have a cafe of sorts on the lobby where you can get breakfast and Starbucks coffee.
