Purchased an in stock item and went to pick it up on the designated day (2 weeks later) from the store as I was supposed to and it wasn't there. They then offered free shipping to my house a few days later. Item arrives but two of the chairs are damaged. I am told for an exchange I have to wait another 3 weeks to get the replacement chairs for something that is their fault. Customer service rep Michael Albers spoke very inappropriately to me and even told me "Why do you think your so special to get your order earlier when others have waited a year". Spoke to manager and set a new delivery date for the chair replacement for about 2 weeks later. I just opened the chairs and one of the chairs is damaged it has a black marker streak across the seat that I can't get off, the wood is cracked, and it has a very noticable dent. The chairs originally came in 1 box but today I received them in 2 separate boxes. Each box says "contains 2 pieces" so they clearly sent me previously returned items and they were poorly packaged. I would not purchase anything from this store or company. Things are overprice, quality control is horrible, and customer service is horrible. I have received better everything from discount stores that offer the same furniture for half the price such as open box outlet who carries Ashley Furniture.

The absolute shabbiest sofa I have ever bought, complete garbage and a total waste after six months. I knew i was in trouble when the couch came with plastic feet and there were no pre-drilled holes for a bolt, just a cheap wood screw. Don't even get me started on the toxic waste dump of a coffee table we bought. Two words: environmental hazard. Trust me I would have more fun burning my money than I could ever have with this poorly made furniture. I guess the good news is that I never have to go there again!

MHC is the worst place to buy anything! In my opinion, they don't know much about honesty,integrity or customer service. After several delays and oh so many excuses for why my order hadn't arrived as promised in writing, I canceled the order. That's when things got interesting. They told me (with a straight face no less) that the sofa & love seat that I ordered were "special order" and could not be canceled unless I wanted to pay a restocking fee of 100%! I will give them credit for being able to say that outloud and not burst out laughing. After going up the chain of command things got nowhere and I simply left it at cancel the order! The only intelligent thing that I did was to charge the purchase on my Visa card. I called the bank, explained the situation, and told them to dispute the transaction. I sent copies of everything to my bank and within 60 days my bank had everything taken care of. If you are going to buy from them, protect yourself and use a credit card!
