Great community hospital! It’s clean, staff are nice and not as chaotic as other medical centers in the city.

I gave birth in this hospital and had the best experience. The L&D nurses could not have been more supportive, kind, caring, and knowledgeable. The PA’s and doctors were also incredibly empowering, always explaining what was happening and reminding me that I was in charge and had options throughout the process. They were also welcoming to my doula. I would go out of my way to deliver here again.

I love going to this hospital the staff works quick to get you in and out of the emergency room. I went there with a laceration on my top lip. I was treated by Dr. Kenneth M. Rose (PLASTIC SURGEON).I wish I could give him 10 stars. He was very kind, gentle and informative. Dr.Rose told me everything he was going to do before he did it! I was worried and scared he reassured me the hardest part was over. Not to be scared he even made me laugh a bit in my time of pain by talking about different things. He's the best!!!! A day later I was worried about my lip being swollen texted Dr.Rose after hrs and he gave me a call right away! Asked me questions and told me not to worry it's to be expected. He is an awesome doctor with outstanding bedside manners.

You can Called or go in person to the hospital and ask question..& concerns you have
YES ABSOLUTELY GOOD
I don't understand the question? If you're not dead or dying please stay home. If you need urgent care, please go to an urgent care instead of the ER. Don't treat the hospital like an urgent care clinic cause it's not. It's all about triage, if you're seriously sick, you'll get the care you need in a timely manner. Otherwise make an appointment with your PCP. You're not satisfied with the care, I get it, they could have better bedside manners, but understand that the staff are only human also. Remember the Golden Rule, treat others with the same respect that you'd want to be treated. If you're really unsatisfied with the care they provide, try Bellevue or NYU next time.
Off course, no questions ask...the hospital is obligate to provide emergency care..regardless off economic status..or immigration status
Called and find out
NYP/Lower Manhattan Hospital has 6 or 8 floors depending on which section of the building.

Pediatric surgery is not performed at LMH. it is done at NYP/Cornell.
I think the Presbyterian Hospital you're looking for is the one in Midtown. They have a neurology center there.
Just about every subway line is in walking distance to this hospital. I prefer the Fulton Street station where the 2, 3, 4, 5, A, C and J lines all stop. The hospital is about two blocks away frm this station.

You have to speak with your doctor and get a referral first depending on your health insurance.

During the 1980s the hospital was called New York Infirmary - Beekman Downtown Hospital. Prior to 1980 it was Beekman Downtown Hospital. In the 1990s it became New York Downtown Hospital, then NYU Downtown Hospital.
In the past 50 years it has been New York Downtown Hospital, NYU Downtown Hospital, Beekman Downtown Hospital and Beekman Downtown Hospital-New York Infirmary.

That's odd, usually a doctor would explain an x ray not just hand to you and send on your way. You need to go back, get a copy and take care of like a grown up...hope it works out for the best
