I have always had a positive experience here. We see Dr. Becker, who is so caring. I've seen troubling reviews on Nextdoor, and there has been a big change in front office staff which is usually a red flag, but I have NEVER had anything but excellent care. I still refer people who love their pets to WAH, and to Dr. Becker specifically.

Heard many great things about wyo vets. We were not impressed and no longer take our pets there. Very unorganized , way overpriced, charged 80% more for meds then chewy.appointments are incredibly expensive. Lacking in communication skills with the other vets there. So scattered and unorganized they tried to give our pup another round of vaccines , we were there for completely different issue. Do not have general knowledge on handling dogs , they were afraid of our 16 week cane corso No thank you !!

I have found it necessary to find a new "vet" for my dogs. Geographic proximity brought me to Wyomissing Animal Hospital, and I am very happy to report that I was very pleased and impressed with the Vet to whom we were assigned, Dr. Kornsey. One hears that it is, ostensibly, more difficult to "get into" Vet school than Med school. Whatever the case, my perception is that Dr. Kornsey could have had her choice of many careers and chose Veterinary medicine, to the benefit of our animal friends. The Vet Tech who assisted with my dogs' examination was also clearly intelligent and insightful. What a pleasure to have found this Vet practice for my dogs.

Not sure on that all surgeries are expensive but care credit can help with vet costs
The "number" of a particular vaccine depends on the age of puppy or kitten when they are initially started with the vaccine as well as the type of vaccine itself. For example: The Distemper vacc AKA DHLPP or DHPP Is given from about 7wks initially, boostered every 3-4 weeks up until approx 16 wks of age. Rabies can be given after 12wks of age. Some vaccines such as the Lyme Disease and the Influenza vaccines must be given in a series of 2 vaccines when dog is initially started on them. This info being all in general. Your vet is the Best source of information as to when and what vaccines are needed and when best to be administered. HTH
The Berks Emergency Veterinary Service and Referral Center is located on Lancaster Avenue in Shillington. I have not been there and can't give an accurate review. I can recommend the Veterinary Referral Center in Malvern. I had taken my dog there twice for complicated surgical issues. The care was excellent. The vets were awesome. It was expensive but very worth the trip.
They are very accommodating. You can tell they care about the animals and it's not just a job. I took my cat there for an emergency surgery and I didn't have enough money and they worked with me by letting me make installments and lowering the price of the procedure as much as they could. I'll always be grateful for that and I'll continue to go there for all my pet's health needs.
Suggest you call them. My experience is they are better priced then most and provide great service.
They have a sister hospital in bernville that does boarding and they do a great job.
The best easy to find out it to give them a call, it depends on the size of the pet
I think it was like 60 but call and ask they'll tell you. Also you can call the animal rescue league they can tell you also
It is best to check with your Vet at Wyomissing
