i've gone here since the beginning of my sophmore year of highschool. i am now a graduate going into college, and i probably wouldn't be here now if it werent for my therapist at family guidance center. i have been helped so much, been accommodated with phone, video, and in person visits, and i always left feeling heard.

The intake person Georgie is awful. I stopped in to make an appointment per the website’s instructions and was told I needed to call. I called, and Georgie told me they weren’t making new appointments for about 2 months. I wanted to make an appointment, and cancel if I found something sooner, but Georgie thought “that would be a lot of work.” She said I should call around and find someone else. I made an appointment with another place only to have them cancel the day before because we have medical assistance as a secondary insurance. I tried Family Guidance again, and Georgie told me now they aren’t taking new patients and there’s no waitlist for when they do start accepting new patients.

Just to balance out the negative reviews, my therapist from Family Guidance has been absolutely amazing. One of the kindest people I’ve ever met.

I came for help as I was needing a counselor per my PCP. I’m so unhappy that I cancelled my following appt. I felt like I was being harassed by the therapist I was talking to about my personal choices and I feel like I wasted my money as I got no help from this place. My therapist was only doing zoom calls too and I live in the woods with very little reception. I was getting annoyed because she said that she couldn’t continue anymore appts unless my zoom would work. Another reason why I cancelled the following appt. just not happy or pleased with the manor of some people here
