We have adopted four cats here and our experience has been great. The staff is very nice and sent us home with complementary purina cat food, and a cat carrier. I highly recommend adopting from here.

They do have a scheduled program for kids to read to them. Check their Facebook page. The link was on there.
I'm hoping someone can answer. I was told that the Humane Society was offering free spay and neutering for cats to wash co residents. Does anyone have info on that? Thank you.

As far as I no it is like that. They ask for a donation. That's how it was about a year ago when I took my Siamese. Hope this helped.
My mother in law has 9 cats.on front porch that showed up.they need help. One of them seems has teeth problems he seems he can only eat can food. He is very skinny and very lovable. Seems he was inside cat n someone threw him out cuz of his teeth he always wants to be pet. If interested contact me. Thanks
So, did they check you out and find out that something wasn't good for a dog at this time? Would need more details before I can help. I used to work there under the old administration and that was a nightmare so, believe me, this new administration is way better and much improved. But remember they are humans and they do get busy and make mistakes. Dont assume the ones in charge know what is going on. :)
So, again, why should they take on your responsibility for free?! Plus, if you are out of work, or have very low income, show this to them and they will take the dogs without charging you. Usually this is not the case, cuz people always want help for nothing in return. You help them with a very small fee toward caring for them and they will help you, unless of course, you lost your job and can show them you have no money. If they helped everybody for free, they would not be able to do what they do!!!
How long does the adoption process usually take/ how long does it usually take to hear back from the shelter if you have been chosen to adopt a certain animal after applying

I have a friend who was hospitalized and his three dogs (rescue) are in the house and need fed and watered. They were not treated well by former owners and are very protective.

Yes
I have a cat that does not do well with other animals and is somewhat aggressive (play aggressive mostly). He needs more attention that I cannot give him. Does anyone know a home? Or do you think the shelter could take better care of him?

Have you tried taking him to the vet to see what is wrong? Is he animal declawed? That could be a source of your problems. Have you tried splitting them up?
I know it is difficult to take care of an animal that doesnt get a long with your others. See if you can set up a safe space with a separate litter box away from your other cats.
Do you post pics of animals that have been brought in that were found or surrenderd to inform people that you may have their missing pet before they go up for adoption.

I would have no idea, it would be best to call them directly. I hope you find Annie.
How much does it cost to adopt a puppy if you have a disability and are going to get your puppy registrar for your disability.

I'm not sure, your best bet is to call and talk to someone directly for the best info.
They do have a snap program which they pay $40 towards neutering. You must use a vet that accepts the program and have the qppointment scheduled before they will help.
I do know they will deny you if you mention anything about altering an animal beyond spay/neuter, to include even front declaw. They consider it inhumane.
I tried, left a message. I'm sorry I'm desperate though. She's a special needs. They didn't ask if I wanted her. Even though I'm in another state I still want her. Thanks!
Is there something wrong with their phone number? I cant seem to get a hold of them. I get Message MO 32 and MO 35 at different times saying that the number is no longer in service.

Is it illegal in this area to destroy Duck and Geese eggs in the Lakeside Park lake area? I have a neighbor that was out there this afternoon destroying the eggs and he thinks it's a joke.

That is awful!!! So very sorry to hear about this. Plenty of sick people around. I am not sure iofcany exact laws but I would call the police anyway, if they could talk to him or give you advice??? Wish I could help more.
I have seen other breeds, but they go pretty fast. I think there is an ordinance against owning some breeds (pitbulls) in some areas, and that contributes to the shelter stock up on those guys.
I adopted from Shenandoah Shepherd rescue and sadly I have to give the dog back. They aren't very helpful and said it could be awhile before they find a foster. Can I turn into humane society if needed?
