Not a knock against the owners or the breeds...but it seems the only dogs ever up for adoption are pitt/boxer/mastiff mixes. Semi interested in adopting over the years, but not my kind of dogs..

I have seen other breeds, but they go pretty fast. I think there is an ordinance against owning some breeds (pitbulls) in some areas, and that contributes to the shelter stock up on those guys.

Its not an ordinance its landlords and insurance companies keeping so many of those pups from getting good homes. Try a bully breed they come in all sizes and have been the best dogs ive ever owned

You never know. Maybe you will find a dog there you like. We got a lab/golden retriever mix. You just need to check in every once in awhile. But all the dogs here are sweet after they get to know you.

I was going to say, check their adoption website daily and call if you see one you like. I feel sorry for certain breeds like pigs, mastiffs and even rots. They get the worst reputation but with proper love and training the can be the best most loving dogs.
