Yes, it's open to the public. there was no ID check to just visit the Library. However, you can't request for/take home books if you don't have a college ID
Thanks for asking! We require campus ID cards for entry from 10pm to 7am and during exam periods. During other operating hours, the library is open to the public.
It depends on what time you go. If you go late late at night or during finals you'll need a student id to get in. Otherwise anyone can just walk in at anytime
The Libraries will be open to the public again beginning on July 12 (except for the Veterinary Medicine Library). Please visit our What to Know page for more information: https://www.lib.ncsu.edu/coronavirus-response#a-wolfpack-one-card-is-require.
There is! A surface pay lot across from the Partner's Way entrance...and then after five all lots are public and free.
Wolfpack One ID card required 10pm - 7am during Fall and Spring hours. Other hours are open to the public.
On our site (https://www.lib.ncsu.edu) under "Spaces" in the middle of the page, click "Reserve a Room." Hill and Hunt libraries have several rooms big enough for 10. As for virtual attendance, we'll email you.
Not usually, but if it is after normal hours or during exam weeks, then yes.
The library does have DVDs that we loan out to our users. Depending on your status with the university, your access to the DVDs and how long you can have them may vary if they are part of our Reserves or Teaching Media Collections. Our Borrowing Guide, https://www.lib.ncsu.edu/borrow/privileges, has more specific information. Please, let us know if you have any other questions!
Thanks for your interest in a tour of Hunt Library! You can request and schedule tours at https://lib.ncsu.edu/visit. If you have any additional questions, Ask Us by contacting us by phone or on our website.
Yes there is...in the surface lot across from the Partners Way entrance.
There's paid parking opposite the library.
James B Hunt was the 69th and 71st governor of NC (1977-85) and (1993-2001). James Baxter Hunt is his name. Hope that helps.
