We were looking for a nice apartment for my daughter close to her work and UNT. We found Waters Edge to fit what she was looking for. We were shown a very nice, clean 1-bedroom model apartment and decided it would work. The lease was signed about 4 weeks prior to move-in, we took the earliest date available wanting a similar 1-bedroom apartment like we were shown. We were given a move-in date for August 8th. We called 2 weeks prior to move-in to confirm the date (we had paperwork showing move-in for both August 8th and August 10th ) and were assured August 8th date was correct. We arrived at the office early on the 8th only to be told the move-in date was the 10th! We had the Welcome Letter in hand they sent us showing the 8th for move-in. We had all the furniture loaded on the trailer, trucks, and cars. They told us to wait until 4pm that day and they’d try to have the apartment ready. Things were rushed, but we got the key at 5:30pm losing most of the day. Upon seeing the actual apartment for the first time, I must say we were very disappointed -- it looked nothing like the model apartment we were shown. This apartment was in a different building than the model, the grounds were littered with trash. I was horrified when we opened the entry door to take our first load up the stairs. The inside entryway was filthy looking with a vent grate half hung on the wall exposing a large hole. This looked nothing like what we had been shown. I felt horrible for my daughter. After getting things settled inside, we learned the dryer does NOT dry, the tub does NOT drain, and the vinyl in the bedroom has a big rip. It was nothing like the model unit we were shown. We went to the office to report these issues the next morning only to be told to report the issues online and someone would get to it. It has been 4 days and none of the issues have been addressed, the entry area remains dirty, lots of trash in the yard and bushes. It was a far cry from what I thought I was renting for my daughter. Here are a couple pictures I took. When we paid the move in fee everything should have been in working order and clean. I was so disappointed because the reviews on their site were very good. I did not notice they were from 2019. 8/17/2022 I received an email with a contact name for the apartment complex so I emailed them as it asked me to do. She called me yesterday and we had a good talk about how things went down. Today my daughter called and told me that they fixed her sink, Disposal and had to order her another dryer which should be put in tomorrow. There were yard guys there cleaning up the grounds. There is a work order for a couple other fixes and hopefully this all gets resolved before my daughter starts college again so there are no distractions. I know this is a very pretty apartment complex because we toured the place but the unit my daughter got, not so much but after talking with Alandra I hope to get the issues resolved fast. 8/23/2022 Update. It has been a little over 2 weeks since my daughter moved in and the management team have corrected all the concerns which I am very thankful for in a timely manner. My daughter loves it here and it is close to everything she needs for her school year. Thank you to the management team and all the employees at WaterEdge.

our washer was out of order for 8 months, we called no less than 10 times over those months and they said they were waiting on parts. the week we said we were moving out we noticed they finally started to work on it.

I would give zero stars if possible. I stayed here for 12 months, in that time my car was towed out of the parking lot in front of my apartment. I missed two days of work due to the reluctance of the towing company used by WatersEdge to release my car for free and admit their mistake(which they eventually did). My AC went out the first day I moved in and stayed out for a full day. It went out every other month my entire lease and when it did I required the maintenance team to refill the extremely old AC unit with coolant(which the maintenance man told me he would need to do the day I moved in and apologized for how old the unit was and said they would likely need to replace it for it to make it through my lease, they did not). When it went out the second time it leaked into my kitchen and destroyed the tiles on the ceiling which left the entire AC unit exposed in my kitchen and living room which made very loud noises. After 10 months and five or so maintenance requests inside my apartment the 2 ft by 4 fr hole in my ceiling with the ac tubing exposed was still there the day I moved out. I payed the let deposit and my pet rent but my dog got sick and passed away while living here they charged me $132 on top of my deposit for the apartment and pet rent to replace the carpet where my dog was sick. I did not pay for obvious reasons and they sent it to a collections agency which hit my credit report without contacting me in any way! Please please do not live here for your sake!
