If you want your pet to be a business transaction, this is your place. Not only horrible personal experience with these guys, but we’ve had numerous people in our life that have had terrible experiences with this vet with bad outcome. And pricey. All business, no care.

I wanted to give this 90 days to play out before I left a review. However, I can now confidently say this is the single handed worst experience I’ve ever had (worse than the cable company haha). We were referred to this place from our primary care for a giant lump on our dogs neck that appeared. The initial visit our dog looked like the picture below and all they did was check vitals and say he needed a CT scan which couldn’t be completed until a week later. As the lump was growing by the hour this was very concerning. Seemed very uncaring and all communication was very cold in general. During this week long wait our dog scratched and popped this lump which turned out to be an abscess. I drained it myself and saw instant relief. I did ask the doctor at CVS what would have happened if this ruptured inside of him during the week wait and we were told that was “unlikely” but it could have been fatal. They did the CT scan approx $2K and said he needed a $5K surgery. We sent these results to our new primary vet and they determined we should treat with heavy antibiotics instead of proceeding with an expensive and potentially unnecessary surgery. We are now well past our initial visit in May of 2022 and our dog is doing amazing with no surgery. CVS wouldn’t know because just like their cold bedside manner they haven’t bothered to check up on him. It really feels like this surgery was a ploy. I would strongly recommend anyone to seek care elsewhere for their pets. God speed if you do proceed with CVS.

Dr. Smith was the sweetest; gave us hope when we Urgent Care gave us none!! Happy to say he was right and Penny is with us today!! And much less than what we were originally quoted

Sadly I was there for the passing of my beloved pet. The staff was very kind and sensitive. The cremation services were very good. They were a comfort at a very sad time.

There is an oncologist on staff at the Huntsville location.
no they don't have any products for sell it's an emergency and specialty hospital not a general practice vet
There is a fee you pay before seeing a specialist. Further charges would be determined after assessing what the situation is. They are thorough and very caring. Highly recommend.
