Amazing tour and Amazing tour guides! Been here several times throughout the years with kids field trips and taking out of towners. These tours are full of fascination information, and the tour guides obviously love doing what they do. The only downside for me is about the helmets you have to wear. The helmits are used and automatically re-used without being cleaned by the next tour participants. Can you say, "head lice?"

Coolest tour ever at 53⁰F. The tour has additional flair with Deanne as the tour guide with her bubbly energy. You can't bury talent underground no matter how deep.

The Lackawanna Coal Mine Tour is a guided tour that takes you down into the actual coal mine. You get to walk around the mining tunnels and get to see props of workers in action. Very educational and interesting!

Totally enjoyed the tour! Lots of information and history shared by descendants of miners. Tons of journals, photos, news paper articles and artifacts in the Hoist House. And you descend into the actual mine. Highly recommend this tour!

Yeah
Yes its fine we allow service animals, we just ask that there is 1 per trip.
The tour is about 1 hour...The entire visit about 3-4 hours(including time in the museum and other exhibits )
$10 last time I was there for an adult. Might be $5 or $6 For children under 12 but can't remember.
It is open, but get there early. We tried to get in around noon and had a 3 hour wait.
Yes they are.
It is a fairly short walk. Maybe a hundred yards total when I did the tour.
It really depends on how big the trailer is. If it's a smaller one, there should be space for parking. They do have a pretty big parking area.
At the mine, there is a little store at the right of the mine.
That's correct sbout 1 1/2 hrs, it's very informative, fun and interesting!!
