Hello Clair, We have "transportable" both for sale and rent. We prefer to use the term disassemble rather than break down but I believe that we are referring to the same concept which allows the scooters to be easier to transport from place to place in a vehicle. There are some instances that won't work as easily in regards to transportability, and that usually is when the user is of weight that is such that the scooter is just not designed to be as easily transportable because it is designed to support a higher weight capacity. Thank you for the additional information. Currently we have a Pride Mobility 4-Wheel scooter that has a 400lb weight capacity. We'd love to provide you with a rental and although the weight capacity is less than your weight, it probably would be fine for a temporary rental, however we'd not sell an item in this manner. You might would want to stop in to try this model out to see if you think it would work for you while vacationing here in the Myrtle Beach area. The Mobility Center of The Grand Strand has been in business since 1996 and has tried to become a network provider with United Healthcare since the early 2000's but they have always told us that they didn't need any new providers in our area. Sorry but no, we are not an in-network supplier with UHC.
