After seeing these reviews it makes sense. I applied for an adjusters license for Louisiana (already have 4) spoke to Thelma who hung up in my face because she’s having challenges reading the same documents that were submitted for all the other license approvals that states that my 2 days of community service has been completed 20 years ago. She wants me to find a way to get to another state to get another document that reflects this, although I’ve submitted the arrest report and additional report that was given to me but the police station. The document clearly says the community service was satisfied. If you’re fingerprinting and running a background check anyway you would see this information. She was extremely nonchalant. I asked if I could speak to a manager. Her exact response was “ ma’am we are not getting anywhere so I’m hanging up the call.” Then she turned off the phone at 4:43 or chose not to answer. UNBELIEVABLE. I will call over and over again to get someone who is more effective in doing their job.

Rude, antiquated, & disrespectful are the only words I can think of to describe my interactions with this office. The website lacked the details we needed, so our company called to speak with a person and, lets just say we would've been better off skipping this state. FYI, most states have an option to pay CE fees online, when you don't, details with the ACCURATE location to send our check would be helpful. However, considering that wasn't an option just a courteous person to answer the phone and give us that info would've sufficed. Unfortunately, that didn't happen.

Any Insurance in my home state of Louisiana is 50% higher than the rest of the country. They hurricanes but that's not it . Louisiana is not the only state that gets hurricanes. It's our sorry insurance commissioner and our politicians. All they have to do is change so laws. It's cuz the laws we have u can sue anyone for anything. We need to stop frivless law suits

We really need an Insurance Commissioner that will not let "Insurance Companies" take our money and leave Louisiana. Please help me find one!!!!

I have a Tx license how do I apply for license in la.
Yes Louisiana didnt require a license at one time so there was never a course. Since Texas is next door and reciprocal to most states we just take texas pre-course
Contact the Louisiana Department of Insurance and pay a fee.
As long as your house is valued at $300,000 or more you do not have to pay it back.
Don't worry, no one in Louisiana carries insurance.
8k?! GOOD LAWD!!
My advice: Go to the insurance commissioners office and demand to get an explanation or see policy, like I've seen others do.
Roughly about 20 minutes
It cost more to bury a person than to pay cash for a 2020 Mustang GT, Such a rip-off.
For someone to take out insurance on you they must have an insurable interest. Simply, if you death would adversely affect their life or lifestyle, they may have an insurable interest. Best person to ask would be an agent to determine if they can insure you.
You must take a pre-license course from a approved provider and then apply to take the exam, http://www.ldi.la.gov/industry/producer-adjuster/license-application unless you are licensed in another state.
The Department is unable to find life insurance policies unless a death has occurred. Even then it is only emails to all the life companies to search their records. If she has dealt with agents in the past, that eould be the first place to start.
Not a good idea to put that much personal information on the internet. Confused at what your question is considering you put your information in the questions area .
I'll have to ask you to refer your question to the legal department.
The department of insurance has several programs to assist residents with insurance. The only way to know if you qualify or if they have that particular program is to go directly to their website or call for assistance.

In the state of louisiana you cannot possess an insurance license with a felony conviction. However laws have been flexed in some cases and in some states that given it was 5 to 7 years prior and not for fraud or financial crimes, it has been granted.
I care more about all of those people living in that corridor from Norco through Lafourche parish thats called Cancer Alley. You can't put a price on a precious life
That auto insurance you must be talking about where agents just give you a premium price leaving you in the dark just to make a commission. Blast the agent
