The people at Van Patten couldn't be any friendlier. It's a very nice course that they are improving with a redesign of several holes. Because they have 27 holes only one hole for those playing 18 (the white and blue courses) is effected by the redesign and only slightly comes into play and it doesn't impede play at all.

Played golf on beautiful Memorial Day. The course was honestly, "OK". Not the worst.. Not the best... The course/fairways were in very rough shape. A lot under construction all over the place. Wish the cart paths were better marked between holes. Was $35 + $21 for a cart. So they are certainly not overpriced compared to others in the area. I just wouldn't play here again until I hear that everything has been repaired and whatever construction they are doing is complete. You can play for the same price up at the Saratoga Spa State Park which is in WAY better shape.

The food was a good variety. Being a buffet it is hard to maintain a good temperature for the food. I felt it was not warm enough. The atmosphere was great as was the service.

They offered a special deal of golf and eggplant or chicken parmesan. Good news, the meal was good.. not over the top great, but good. The course, however was very, very wet. Several holes were in terrible condition...to the point it was surprising they let carts out.Andrea, we apologize you had to experience the course being wet, it is something that we are actively trying to solve. We have hired EDP to survey the entire property and wetlands to establish a drainage plan with the new topography that they have flown. With that information we will be doing extensive drainage projects this winter and spring to have a dry and healthy course next season. Unfortunately, this year/season we have had extensive rain falls, which also hasn’t helped. We are glad you had a nice meal at the restaurant, we are also working on revising the menu for next season. We’d love to have you back on the course and restaurant next season to give us a second chance.
