My kids enjoyed it almost as much as I did when I was a kid.

Part of our conference and the entire building was rented out…fun times with music and entertainment!

Hi Dwaine! Can you tell me more about the exhibit in question? Do you remember the season/year you experienced it and what else was near it? We would be happy to help you figure it out. :) -COSI Team
When we asked about prices they went over every one they had listed including if you are on snap or whatever it is called. $45 for family membership. Even if you pay full year it's a good deal if you go even if it's once a month
It's going to take at least 4 hour's give or take depending on everything such as traffic, stopping, getting lost and things like that but basically 8 hour's there & back to WV.
When i went on a field trip with my class of 6 students and 2 teachers it was free of what i heard.
My 1-yr-old godson learned to walk on the comfy foam mats and bridges in the protected Little Kids Space. We just spent an hour there today splashing in the infamt/toddler water sensory area, riding the infant/toddler sized slides, and climbing/moving soft foam blocks made to look like bricks, and tossing endless tiny balls and make believe items. Something there will appeal to your little one, if only people-watching part of the time. This Kids Space is just for birth to 1st grade and strictly enforced with staggared entry to avoid crowds. It is the key reason we have a membership for a 1 and 5 year old.
Ranges from $9.75-$19.75 for youth (ages 2-12), from $14.75-$24.75 for adults (ages 13-59) and from $13.75-$23.25 for seniors (ages 60+).
Yes, COSI will be open on weekend of the 24-26 (closing time on Nov. 24 is 9:00pm, but on the other days we close at 5:00pm). We are only closed on Thanksgiving Day (Nov. 23) and the usual Monday-Tuesdays.
I don't think so.
Yes
There is also 2 parking lots next to COSI if you can’t find the underground parking but i bet you got it already. Just saying this just in case someone wonders the same thing.
I love it. I am a museum fan and COSI has a lot to see and do. Good films and planetary shows on top of exhibits. We have a membership which not only gives you discounts but pays for itself in 3-4 visits.
Get a membership and you get discounts towards purchases, early access to new exhibits and much more.
I could spend a whole day in the new Dinosaur Gallery alone! (There is a lot of information to read in that exhibit.) Depending on how deep you dive into the information in the exhibits, I agree that you should plan on a whole day's visit.
It's $25 for adults and $20 for children. Anyone 13 or over is an adult. COSI is open from 10am to 7pm
The best place to get tickets prices is by going on the website
I work at Cosi and the movie theater is still closed
$ 15.00 per person ;if you're a member I believe you get a $ 1.00 off
No but I would recommend doing it online to get in faster!
It is $15 more per ticket
There are daily admission tickets for $25. You can get a annual family membership for $180. There are levels up from the general family membership. There are some additional costs for some of the attractions, but plenty to do without adding any costs.
I would say yes. I don’t see anything saying it is closed Sundays
Yes you can, they have electric scooters
There's a permanent exhibit called "Life" which is on level 2. If you're talking about "Body Worlds & The Brain" that was a temporary exhibit a few years ago. It's since moved on to other cities.
I've never seen a pet in COSI...I'm interested in learning more from those who said yes.
Depends on where you park. I visited during a science fair, we had to walk only around 100 feet from the parking.
June 3rd
I don’t think it is open to the general public, only for special events at the moment.
It covers everything but the planetarium and their special exhibit in the back. And yes it is a wonder filled place for kids and adults to discover. The time line exhibit is awesome and so is the ocean exhibit. But there are fun things to explore everywhere.
They will re open June 2021. And anyone with a year membership will still get their full year extended.
June 2021
June 2021
Yes, it resides within the life exhibit
I really do not know you make want to contact Cosi or you may want to contact His the Historian museum on 17th
No it is not a part of it.
COSI policy offers free admission for 2 adults and up to 4 children listed on a qualifying Association of Science-Technology Centers (ASTC) reciprocal membership. COSI checks IDs for reciprocal admission and strictly enforces the ASTC “90-Mile” reciprocal policy. ASTC reciprocal admission benefits do not apply to reciprocal members whose place of residence is less than 90 miles from COSI. Per ASTC policy, this distance is measured “as the crow flies”, meaning that it is based on the linear radius between your place of residency and COSI, not driving distance. COSI cannot verify memberships from reciprocal museums. Reciprocal visitors must present current membership cards and photo ID when checking in at COSI’s Box Office (General Admission line). Please note that ASTC free reciprocal admission to COSI does not include the American Museum of Natural History Dinosaur and Special Exhibition Gallery, COSI Planetarium, COSI Giant Screen Theater or the COSI Motion Simulator.
If you are local and will go more than 2 times in a year, or if you have a large family, a membership us probably a better choice.
General admission - Adults $25 Children 2-12 $20 Do it all is more and membership saves if you will go often. Look for coupons online or at some local stores. Well worth a trip!
Please check their official website. Normal admission, kids, veterans, group and some promotions. Also parking.... Good luck 👍
Yes it was around $26 for adults and $20 for kids. My opinion, buy a membership so you can come whenever :)
Do it all ticket 40 for adults and 35 for kids 2 to 12 but if you don't want see everything it is 25 and 20
Senior Discount. Seniors (ages 60 and up) receive a $2 discount on COSI general admission. Valid state-issued ID may be requested at the time of purchase.
$40.00 General Public - Adult (Ages 13+) $35.00 General Public - Youth (Ages 2-12) $12.00 Member - Adult (Ages 19+) $12.00 Member - Youth (Ages 2-18) https://reservations.cosi.org/Info.aspx?EventID=19
I don't know but wonder if it was to not clash with Ted, White & Boom basically held at their backdoor.
It depends on what you want to see and do different prices we did everything and it cost 45 a person but we went through everything
Great question Regina. I never considered that. Gaur available is right, call them to know for sure.
I think $5 or $8. And not much other parking
The buses run on Broad Street with stops by COSI. Depending on what hotel you are at, you can walk there. Some may have a shuttle service but I think most do not.
It's an interactive science museum...... really good place for kids to make them aware about science and physics with interactive demos and some fun activities
The main entrance has powered doors to accommodate those with wheelchairs or other mobility aids. There is handicapped parking in both the garage and above ground parking.
No
Yes and the exibit is only up till Sep. 2nd
Yes, if you receive Medicaid or SNAP they offer the Family Access Plan for approximately $50. It includes 2 adults & your children under 18 y.o. for 1 year; I think it’s similar to their Basic Plan.
https://reservations.cosi.org/GiftCertificates.aspx This is off of their website. Hope this helps.
The exhibit as a whole doesn't exist, but there is a nostalgia/tribute to it. It includes the "elevator" into the mine and a few relics and pictures. Took my kids through it last year and all they wanted to do was ride the elevator
I would call and find out for sure but I don't see why they wouldn't be open
On the website page it says Jan 6- March 22 Wed--Sun 10am-5pm. I guess it changes March 23. 2019
Yes. Check out their website. You could easily Google the information you're looking for. https://cosi.org/visit/amenities-and-accessibility
I'm not sure but their staff is usually super helpful if you call . It might even be available online.
No. You must stay in the kids space with child(ren) You get a ticket showing how many adults & how many children entered. Same number must exit together.
COSI is mostly indoors and is open during the winter. They do have a few outside exhibits that are open depending on weather.
During a school day, middle of the week.
No...
Admission is free today but the extra add ons in COSI may not be free.
The parking lot is on the main level across from the parking garage and COSI. The height of the garage probably doesn't accommodate anything taller than a conversion van but you can probably call them to verify the height of the underground parking structure . The outdoor lot doesn't have a roof so the sky is the limit there. Both areas are not attached to COSI so regardless of the weather you'll have to brave the elements at least long enough to get into the building (that was an eye opener the first time we used the parking garage for we had wrongfully assumed that it was actually connected to the building in some way since it had been built fairly recently).
There was another location in Toledo, but it is now called The Imagination Station.
Arata Isozaki
You can get tickets day of in person.
I think at a discount. You should be able to look at the website and it'll tell ya. They're closed Monday and Tuesdays
Yes, I always do and I sometimes buy a drink also
If they vist often and you would go probably 2-3 times a year, then I would definitely recommend it.
Open everyday, get tickets at the counter.
Yes kids space is for smaller kids & gadgets has plenty for smaller kids. I've been taking the kids since 3 weeks old. They love it!
Yes.
Yes, $25 adults. $20 i believe for kids under 13
I'm sure the cafeteria staff will help you out. They are all very friendly .
Movies are on the hour every hour from 11 am to 4 pm.
Personally I believe it is all age friendly. Kid space is for little kids under 8 yrs old. All the rest is great for anyone who want to learn or likes science.
Thanks! So it $5 for a whole day when validated!
Life, Oceans, Dinosaurs, Progress, Gadgets, Energy, smaller areas like Space, other random interactive areas, outdoor science park area out back, traveling exhibits. I may be forgetting one or two.
Id call as well. Next time just buy tuckets there. Im sure COSI isnt gonna sell out
All of the exhibits except the two theaters (Planetarium and Giant Screen) and the simulator are included with general admission.
Yes. The "adult" age at COSI where you're allowed to supervise is 12!
There is a weighted unicycle on a tightwire above the entrance that you can ride. Is that what you're thinking of?
The website might say. If not I would call the people at the customer service desk are very nice
Check for specials.... And just because you pay to get in doesn't mean you get to enjoy all of the attractions. ... Those cost extra!!
My husband and I grew up going to the old COSI and our daughter visits the "new" one (opened in 1999) nearly weekly. The newer location has a much larger footprint which may make it feel smaller. They have many permanent exhibits included with regular admission that offer science experiences to all ages. They also have recently partnered with the American Museum of Natural History to open a world class dinosaur exhibit. I often visit science centers when I travel and I'm always impressed by the quality of COSI. The bulb that makes your hair stand up is alive and well (usually in a show in the 1st floor). Enjoy your visit!
It was 20 or 25 $ last week for adults
There are smoking area sign posted & butt containers at bottom of front entrance steps and also on river side outside of the Cafe. Both areas are well away from doors.
$25 for 13 and up $20 for 2 - 12 under 2 is free and if you bought a membership then admission is free.
You get $10 off each general admission from 5-9 pm on the last Friday of every month (Family Friday Nights). That's the closest you will get to a free day.
The Dinosaur Gallery opened this past November and is a permanent exhibit.
They have a new underground parking garage now.
Yes except the movies, planetarium and some special exhibits.
Yes. A family access membership is what you are asking about. Proof of benefits for medicaid, wic or food assistance is all you need to show.
If you have a membership to another ASTC facility, you can get in for free. Members to other children's museums get 1/2 off. For either of these, you still pay for parking and any traveling exhibits that have an entrance fee.
There are a few different tiers but the base price is: $20 for 13+ $15 for 2-12 $0.00 for 0-2 If you have a membership to get into reciprocal children's museums it's 50% off. If you have a membership to science centers it's free.
5 pm, except on a few certain days each year. Check the website to find their hours for that day.
10:00 am to 5:00 pm Wednesday-Sunday, closed on Monday and Tuesday during the school year.
From my understanding, that haven't put a distinct date. All we know so far is Fall 2017.
There's a $20 charge for General Admission, you can also buy "Do-It-All" tickets that cover the two 3D movies and all of the Planetarium shows, but it might honestly be a better deal to go a la carte unless you really want to see shows geared to young kids. Parking depends on where you go. There's a local lot that runs at $10, but they can validate for $5.
It does not state on either the Columbus Zoo website nor the COSI website that you can use one at the other. That being said, I'd say probably not.
