I called the hotel before booking to make sure there would be a pool available for my family while on vacation and was told yes our pool will be open. However when we got to the hotel we found out the pool had been closed down by the Department of Health, so we spent a week in record breaking heat with no pool. Every day was over a 100ﾟ without the heat index. I could have stayed elsewhere for less money in a hotel without a pool. I specifically chose the Hampton Inn because it had a pool! On the plus side Michelle at the breakfast area was amazing so nice, so friendly, full of local information and filled up my boys every morning.

After fees and taxes it came to about $138 a night. Room was pretty clean, but the mini fridge made a loud ticking noise and I had to unplug it. Front desk put in a service ticket but as far as I know it was never addressed. Air conditioner was very loud and rattled, which made it difficult to get some sleep. The sidewalk ends at a hill next to the neighboring hotel, some steps would be nice so you can walk up to the Waffle House more easily. Front desk was very friendly.

Checked in online, but when we arrived, our room was already inhabited. In addition, we were driving a 26 foot rental truck with a car hauler and when we arrived to check in, the drive thru was blocked by two cars. One was a guest, the other was an employee who wouldn't move her car so we blocked in other vehicles until the guest moved.

Front desk staff is incredibly nice and efficient. Hotel is clean and quiet. Rooms seem to be recently remodeled (?). Personal preference, but not a big fan of the faux hardwood in a hotel room. Kind of feels like a college dorm. All in all, good rates, clean, quiet. Value hotel.
