The things that happen within this building is crazy. Once DOC left the building, you have young adults taking over because they have learned to manipulate ACS and further crutch their healing process. Just this year there has been about 2 riots where residents have attacked other residents and staff going on IOJ due to the level of aggression and lack of well-developed staff. When is ACS going to learn 🤦‍♂️

Was a juvie here in early 2000s 1 person i could never forget is Miss Mason she treated us like young humans with a purpose and i will forever take that with me. Also miss Avery she was the counselor there who taught me to talk about my feelings. This place is only what you make it and i learned so much from so long ago

Inmates taking over jail is this foreal they are kids holding them hostage stealing keys jumping and beating up other inmates entering the room with the stolen keys this place should be shut down immediately its out of control staff should be fired

I use to be pro inmate until working here. Why? the fact the kids know that the staff is defensless and theres no real consequences to what they do that knowledge is taken advantage of, What? You really expect "kids" to be mature with that type of information 🤔 there are some kids who are very mature than some adults but realistically its very few. And for whatever past trauma they cant respond to love but some kind of altercation first to then open up room for dialogue which is actually sad. I hear the comments by mother's and the complaints are typically true when it comes to corrections however detention is way different most of my staff are college students being tricked to work here cause no else wants to. We are all on this together you'd have to work there to know what we go through.
