Might be nice when there's water 😁

Nice little spot to walk along the gravel or the ditch. Peaceful marsh and orchard views. Park next to the gate and walk under/over. Mind the trespassing signs further down.

Bring Spray. It's LOADED with ticks and mosquito's. Long hike to get in. Not many doves. Seen a quail or 2 that's about it. Knoxville Wildlife Area has way more birds.

Beautiful nature includes a river, trees, grass, bamboo, etc. The way is not perfect. The place is good for duck hunting in winter. I couldn't find any rabbit after three attempts, each at least 4 hrs hiking. (NO JACKRABBIT)

Questions & Answers

Does anyone know if I can shoot my bag with my crossbow here?

The weird is very remote... So the odds of anybody seeing you do it are Slim depending on the amount of visitors which are usually not many if any... However rifles are not allowed out there... Don't archery equipment and shotguns are allowed out there during hunting season only... A crossbow is considered a firearm and not a piece of archery equipment so you're in a gray area... However hunting is prohibited out there I believe from Christmas until the opening of spring turkey season... I have never seen anybody with a crossbow out there but I would assume that during hunting season from Spring until the end of fall turkey season in December you could take a crossbow out there... But as I said it's fairly remote and the parking area is on a raise Levy in the middle middle of nowhere... There would be no one to report you or see you if you did it on the other side of the Levee as long as no one was around... or you can contact the local Rangers office for Yolo County

Does anyone know if fishing is allowed within this area, and if so, may I ask where? Thank you in advance.
