They have a wonderful visitors center with all kinds of critters you can see. The volunteer staff is wonderful. There are trails and nature areas. They also put on wonderful events for families. We will be back!
Pacific Northwest Hiking
This is such a great family trail! It's short,(about 2 miles total) out and back. It's circles a lake and it's just simple and pretty. There is a little gazebo and bench at the half way point. Perfect for a family with kids to stop and have lunch. Kids as young as 3 or 4 could easily do this. A couple could easily head here with a stroller and enjoy a nice walk. Lots of birds and wildlife to see.

Beautiful reserve. Nice easy family friendly trails are available. Access to the water, and nice well kept camp sites and RV park.

Blinds are nice, second week of duck hunting and ducks were still plentiful, easy check in. Bring a cart, some walks to the blind are long.

Possibly pelicans too. You can download an app called picture bird and scan pics into it and it gives ya matches. I'd try that. 😊
No! You have to be 1/4 mile from a major road way and or public/state park. All hunting has to be on BLM.
It takes them about 3 weeks to leave their nest. Just be patient with them
There is camping in very near by Hood Park. State run and very nice. Has fishing and swimming options, if you don't mind the river temps (better in summer, of course).
