I understand 90 days could b wrong
I am looking for shelter. I am a 59 year old Woman, with no place to live, Can I be placed today?
Contact HELP of southern nevada, you can reach it by bus from Henderson and it only costs 5.00 for a 24 hrs pass to spare the gas.
This is not legal in summer in vegas.id contact legal aid.
It's better to schedule, especially if your considering going back to school. They are very helpful in finding grants to fund this. They also fund your gas card if you have a car, of 25 a week on a visa, or they pay for your bus card monthly. I have found them to be very efficient and very informative. They have a computer room that you can use, they help you in creating resumes, they have a phone bank that you can use for job hunting, and the have a Job board with a listing of employment opportunities. They will also direct you to the proper resources of your needs, like counseling etc.
they are taking up alot of time and money so that upper management gets paid, then if there is 7.50 left, depending what time of day or week you show up on, you MIGHT be able to get that 7.50 to use toward your rent . it's a disgrace all across this city, county, state and country.
Trusted they help me get my housing to Southern help of Nevada and they will help you especially if you have children or our elderly trust me on this one God bless you have a nice day!!!
You need to complete a housing assessment with Social Services before HELP will do anything for you. Also talk with your court co-ordinator and probation regarding housing situations and especially address chamges. Complete drug court and your life will change for the better... Much better...
Out of state have a flight, however no lodging? Is there any shelter
Yes I believe they still do. As does Catholic Charities
Go to the nearest welfare office and apply energy assistance program. They will contact NV energy for you to stop disconnections
GO TO YOUR LOCAL WELFARE OFFICE AND ENROLL IN THE NEVADA ENERGY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM....I GET ABOUT 1,100 A YEAR FROM THEM FOR MY GAS AND ELECTRIC UTILITIES.
Visit our office please
If you want to you can apply through Las Vegas Housing Authority it is off of flamingo Boulder Highway and Nellis what they all meet together. If you find Google Maps on your phone you can look it up and find a location. They are only open Monday through Thursday. But if you need emergency housing right away Southern help of Nevada is the place to go. They will also help you apply for Section 8 housing through southern help of Nevada like I did. And you can find Southern help of Nevada on Google Maps as well and it is off of flamingo and Maryland Parkway.
I I got a 7-Day notice how do I get help paying my rent don't have the money
Clark County Social Services will definitely help YOU ME and WIFE is proof
Once you go in and get an assessment, they will determine if you're eligible for the program that provides bus passes.
Try Internet banking. NetSpend, Brinks, etc. You will need an address for mailing and verification however. Hopefully you have a friend or advocate.
Ok, so Help of Southern Nevada is located on Flamingo Blvrd. , just past Spencer st. On the right. Before Extended stay America Hotel. I recommend Xatholic Charities or Social Service's before Help of Southern NV( They believe being homeless is reason to contact cps) Good luck.
ditto
You need at least a Bachelor’s Degree. Depending on the position a Masters may be required. If you read the volunteer jobs or a job description it specifically tells you the education requirements. But all jobs related to social work require a 4 year degree.
Las Vegas of city seem not help homeless people. Most homeless go to shelter place they will help poor people food and home. they should go to get a job than welfare still not enough help small money.
You can get an ID card free one time I believe there's a form to fill out at dmv. This is not well known . Not all employers know about it
Get Nevada State ID. Set an appointment with Department of Social Services. Do a housing assessment. Contact 3 Square. Contact 211 and use Google for additional support... Pray
Best place is clark county social services. They will give you a one way bus ticket all that is needed is some sort if verification in Kentucky about your employment situation.
Catholic charities will help
not me
Promenade at the Sahara & Cheyenne Trails are both 2cnd chance apartments. But if you want to skip the high cost of the deposits & etc. You could try the Siegel Suites or the Budget Suites they have many locations . ( f.y.i. the prices here are steadily increasing also)
HELP AND VARIOUS SOCIAL SERVICES MAY BE ABLE TO HELP YOU....BUT I WOULD START WITH CATHOLIC CHARITIES FIRST. MOST OF THE TIMES A REFERRALS IS NEEDED FOR CERTAIN SERVICES. SO MAKE SURE YOU GET THESE REFERRALS WHEN YOU GO.
Contact a company by the name of safe rental solution out of Corporal Texas they should be able to help you with a free credit report so you can get those things fixed!!! I'm going to the same problems as you and they helped me get mine straight as well thank you. God bless you!!!
Apply for the CHAPS program HOSN doesn't not offer rental assistance
No, it is a service provided through the social services organization but it's called Help of Southern Nevada. And this you apply for it the end of November or the beginning of December and they give you help with the food for Thanksgiving so it wouldn't be the end of November would it I would suggest you check the beginning of November because they give you the your food for Thanksgiving dinner and then toys for the children at Christmas. I hope this was helpful for you good luck and God bless you.
Sorry it took so long for me to get back to you, I'm not sure if they help with furniture but if you Google help of Southern Nevada and then send them a text they will get back to you. And I'm sure they will explain all of the help they do provide for the community. May you have a blessed holiday and a prosperous New Year.
They can help u get it actually. And can provide a clarity card day of
Send an email . At the bottom of their website I believe it says help or contact them , include your name number and date of birth
Welfare office closest one to us is on Flamingo and Pecos
My suggestion is to go there. They take walk-ins
Next to the welfare dept on flamingo and pecos is also the energy assistance office. It usually takes 10 days, sometimes more, to get results. Quicker if there are children, senior citizens, or special medical needs. You must go in. They may be able to give immediate help. I'm not sure though. Office opens at 8 a.m.
on Dec, 17th I applied for energy assistance to help pay for my utilities bill for my apartment 2675 S. Nellis Blvd. apt 2169 Las Vegas, NV 89121 I haven't received any corresponded back from your office with my approval. I applied with Patty at 702-367-2582 over at the boys & Girls club please give her a call to verify and get back to us with the approval? Thank you Mountain Maxton 702-445-5992
Nope sorry
Get assigned a case manager
There are various food banks around las Vegas that also offer hygenic products. Google these areas. Also, you might like to check out the various Spiritual sites, churches, synagogue, temples, even fire stations and police stations. They have the pulse of what is and is not in Las Vegas and would direct you to the proper care facilities. Many blessings to you both on your next adventure. Keep your heart lite, grit your teeth, and keep moving forward. You'll be fine. };~D!.
Micheal they also have a place where you can get mental health treatment for your issues ok?
Ditto!!!
What I would do is call them directly, as soon as possible, then ask this question. Ask also about suggestions to other programs that may be available to you. One never realizes what opportunities are available unless one ask. Ignorance can be costly to ones well being.
You can go fill out Housing Assessment 1st and see what help is available at that time
This I do not know. Salvation Army may be a better choice in this area. Call them and ask. They may have leads for you.
Its a long search for orgs to have funds dept Social services for homeless or catholicc chariities. Help Nevada. Its a long search but help is out there and from within you most of all. Good luck!!!!!!$$
You gotta have family wherever you going that they can contact saying you will be living with them
Sometimes depending on your situation. If you're in need and have children you will get top priority
Call 211 for resource direction, Department of Social Services Housing Assessment is a prerequisite for HELP and other housing assistance agencies. Call Social Services and schedule appointment now. Peace be with you.
Sounds like a strong support connection.
They will a run time help and they will only pay up to $400 on rent however they asked for a lot you got to take 3 months of bank statement of all pages so is your bank statement has six pages they want to see all six pages they need copies of different things I had everything and I was denied if it goes further I'm help getting help for rent then you need to sign up for a case manager
Check Craigslist for wanted roommates. You can pay a more reasonable amount and have money left to leave off of. I hope it works out.
Or endeavor to take back your life through a program of public assistance in sobriety.
because everyone who is getting off section 8 because of the age of their youngest child disqualifies them for section 8 housing, then BAM! mama gets pregnant again and they keep their section 8 slot that someone on waiting list forever could have had that "slot" !! The state let's them do that,!?, so why shouldn't they take advantage of services and scam the system? rather than the employees check more deeply into what's REALLY going on? you are actually lucky if you can get on that phantom list.
Id, ssi, proof of address, proof of employment/interview
Honestly, when I needed help I reached out to the facebook community and people were very helpful. However, I needed help with baby stuff. HELP OF SOUTHERN NEVADA is a great resource, helped me with a lot.
Yes I am pretty sure they help with Southwest gas and NV Energy. If not try Catholic charities
Do not know have to call and ask them
You can get ahold of help of Southern Nevada and ask for the homless program they can help you. They helped me from 2012-2018 with housing and cleaning supplies. I was homeless and a drug addict mysel i 2011-2014
2 best places I know is 1- Help of southern nevada 2-salvation army Also other places may also help but I've personally been helped by ones I said but they all are depending on what $!they have available for that quarter... Wish I could be more help
Yes
Safe nest or shade tree
No, they won't. My suggestion is saving money until you leave. Now, your alternative is changing your ID to GA and then you could ask social security to send you, but no one out here is going to pay for you to live out there, it destroys our economy in NV.
They may you have to call and see
No they will not
it is situation specific so I'd call and ask.
I' m not sure about that...
Get there early for best service
Rite now there placing the homeless in Apt but u would have to go threw an assessment threw clark county social services
It would be best to use an attorneys office. They do most of the work for you. Its important to have medical records that support your conditon/injury.
When signed up = involved in one of their programs such as " Displaced Homemakers" then they assist with rent/ deposits amongst so much more.
Lost $1500 cashwe had onus in an envolope, it was all we had
OMG you have plenty of resources. I know there is another place called The department of aging services. They'll help you with all your issues.
Go over to Lutheran social services on boulder highway. Its a big new building closer to dessert inn rd on left if going south on boulder highway. Early in the month and early (8am)in the day.
I just saw in Monday's news paper that the "city of las Vegas courtyard" is now open 24/7 for the homeless. For starters it's a safe place to sleep and it sounds like they are a good resource for helping people get off the street. Its at foremaster lane and las Vegas boulevard. Go check it out , sounds like a good place for resources but esp for woman to have a safe place to sleep. OR safe nest, the women's shelter. Good luck!
Call them
Call 211 or maybe Red Cross or medicare or even chapter of service he. Served n
Let's start with the last question.Either you can go to the welfare office to apply for medical assistance or you can buy....Blue Shield or Humana. You may try Catholic Charities on Owens/Las Vegas bulvd. They even do rent vouchers.

Yes social services.. yiu will need yiur lease and notice. Bring any papers if yiu have a bank. Be sure to not have any assets in bank or credit over $50.. also. Be sure you need the amount for just rent. They will issue a check to the property in most cases. Gey down there right away. You'll have an APPT that is a week or two out. Keep in mind that they cant evict you without a fice day. And if that's done be sure to do tenant answer with justice court. That will buy yiu some time. Keep the faith. Trust. ..
GET PESTICIDES FROM HOME DEPOT ( COMBAT GEL ) AND A PACKAGE CONTAINING 4 SPRAY BOMB CANS... TOTAL $12 ...PUT THE GEL DOWN, IT LASTS FOR 6 MONTHS. SET ONE CAN OF SPRAY OFF LEAVE THE HOUSE GO TO LUNCH 1 HR. COME BACK. YOU'RE GOOD FOR 6 MONTHS. AND YOU HAVE ENOUGH AMMUNITION FOR A YEAR!!!! PESTS DOESN'T WARRANT A BAD LANDLORD BY LAW UNLESS YOU'RE INJURED BY THEM. KEEP WORKING ON YOUR LIVING STANDARDS UNTIL YOU'RE COMFORTABLE ENOUGH TO MOVE INTO ANOTHER PLACE TO LIVE
You have to report the damage in writing to your landlord, keep 2 copies and send certified mail for your records, and wait 15 days to file a habitability law suit. This has nothing to do with help. If they can't pay your rent they can't pay it. They are a Non Profit, they don't have to help you at all
CATHOLIC CHARITIES OWENS/LAS VEGAS WILL GIVE YOU A MONEY VOUCHER $150.00 AND BUS TICKET. THE ONLY THING IS YOU HAVE TO HAVE SOMEONE IN PHOENIX TO SAY THEY WANT YOU BACK HOME. THEY WILL CALL THEM BEFORE THEY GIVE YOU ANYTHING. A ONE SHOT DEAL
Apply for housing and they will help. But a 2 bedroom is usually 525 or 550 downtown Maryland Poway Bonneville bonanza area .nice places. Check it out
Catholic Charities Owen/Las Vegas bvld. They will get you a plane ticket to Minnesota but someone needs to be in Minnesota when they call. Anyone Who is accepting you in Minnesota can have you another service dog waiting... it's hard traveling with service pets. But another way is sell the bus ticket that Catholic Charities give to you in lieu of the ticket they also gives you a $200 check for eating. Cash the check and bus ticket. Buy a plane ticket that will allow a service animal to fly with you to Minnesota....good luck!!!!
Take in photo I.D, Social Security Card, and a written summary as to why you haven't paid your rent. And how long before you're able to restart your rental payment.
APPEAL PROCESSES CAN BE LENGTHY. INQUIRE IN WRITING ON THE STATUS OF YOUR APPEALS, CALLS GET NAMES OF WHO YOU SPEAK TO, MAILINGS DOCUMENT COPIES, WALKIN GET TIME STAMP DOCUMENTATION OF YOUR VISITS. ALL OF THESE REPRESENTS AMMUNITION SUPPORTING YOUR CASE. FIND A DISABILITY LAWYER AND PROVIDE THEM THE AMMUNITION. KEEP YOUR GUNS LOADED THE MORE AMMUNITION YOU HAVE THE MORE SHOTS YOU CAN GIVE TO SUPPORT YOUR CASE. MOST CASES ARE WON THROUGH THE APPEAL PROCESSES. IF NOT THEN IT GOES TO ADJUDICATION INWHICH YOU WILL CERTAINLY WIN. BEING PATIENCE MEANS THEY THINK YOU'LL GO AWAY. EXCUSE MY METAPHORS BUT KEEP YOUR GUNS LOADED.
