Most horrible camping experience of my more than 50 years of camping across the USA and Canada. The reservation system is so ridiculous with more rules and confusion then the game of Cricket which no one understands. The state employee there to help were rude and lazy. I asked one to help me through the reservation process and she said she had to help other customers. There were none and she visited with a friend outside the office while I struggled with the app on my phone. The cherry on top was Mass state residents paid $17/night while we had to pay $58/night. This of course wasn't disclosed until the end of my 45 minutes of trying to get a reservation on my phone. Never in one single state or province have I been charged more than a resident to camp. If you want to camp and you are not Mass resident go to another state.

This place is very beautiful and fun with a lakes, biking trail, hiking and nice and clean facilities. The best part though is the ranger personals are very awesome and friendly. They are there to help and assist you with smiling faces and good spirits.

It's a really good for us to go walk around them

We enjoyed our weekend camping trip. 17 bucks a night to camp is cheap/affordable.

Charge and Fearing pond are the 2 with public parking. The other ponds are for campers only
The water seemed nice and clear for me. I hope you have a great time!
If you're hiking or swimming in the day use areas, you don't need a campsite. If you are looking to camp, you need to reserve your site online ahead of time!
I copied and pasted this off of the website you must use to make your camping reservations at any/all state forests: Reservation and Occupancy: Campers and/or camping equipment are limited to 14 cumulative days occupancy in any one park between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Violators of the 14-day limit may have their reservation cancelled and be asked to leave the park. Reservations must be in the name of the primary occupant, who is at least 18 years of age. A photo ID is required at check- in and must match the name on the reservation. Campsite occupancy is limited to four adults, or two adults and the children in their care. Campsites are limited to two tents, or one tent and one trailer or RV, and two vehicles maximum (including tow trailers) per site. I hope this helps you. The website is called reserveamerica.com and then just look up info for Myles Standish
Yes you can! Some spots your not allowed to use them but its posted. Most spots you can!
Yes it was done most recently on August 21 St
The tree with all the Elmos is located off a side trail from the Bentley Loop near Negas Road. Somebody attached forty or more Elmos. No explanation was left. They are showing the effects of a hard winter. Most people like it.
They don't really have a place to do weddings here..unless you want to take pictures in the forest. There are no buildings for this. Maybe a picnic pavilion, but that's about it.
I think the cottages are privately owned. Don't hurt to ask though.
They are not allowing day visitors this season. If you're going to put 2 cars on your site make sure to register them before you sign in completely.
Yes Megan is correct. The state stocks Fearing Pond in the spring and fall with Trout.
I'm not sure I don't do a lot of camping. It should be on the website.
Yep you have to be careful in hunting season.
Many of them are kettle ponds formed by glacial recession! Hope this helps :)
Miles of wide paved trails with easy hills, some twisty dirt, some sand, no big hills
No cabins but they have yurts
Yes you can. But there are lots of kids so you have to keep them on a leash.
Yes there is
No
Not at the public pond
I don't think so
Charge pond and Fearing pond both have parking lots but you need to get there early. I believe it's $8 per day
The one near the ranger station is in good shape should be ok for skateboarding
Yurts rent out very quickly! You will want to book on reserveamerica.com for Myles Standish Yurts months ahead

TJ is right with the addition that have added another Yurt. They have a dumping station, but to my knowledge no sites with electrical hook up.
Yes I agree... I'd make a reservation... Otherwise you might not be pleased with the site they pick for you.
Rent 2 sites if your lucky you could get side by side. Good Luck that place is awesome to go camping. Especially with family and friends.
Yes, you can fish, but as Matt said, a Massachusetts Freshwater Fishing License is required for everyone 15 and older.
No
I have been many times and have never seen one or its nest. But that doesn't mean that they don't live there
You can reserve it online. I believe it's the Charge Pond pavilion. Charge pond is only for campers so it will be less congested than College Pond
That question should be directed to the DCR
No you must make reservations in advance to book a camp site
You can't bring your dog to swim in Barrett, Charge, Fearing, Curlew, or College pond. Any other pond they're welcome to swim
Need to ask not sure. But it would be nice
Memorial day weekend to labor day weekend. Curlew pond an Barret pond are closed on labor day. Charge pond is open untile October 15 th.
The only ranges may be in the Boy Scout Camp Catchalot, but I'm not sure if they're used. But otherwise you absolutely cannot discharge firearms anywhere in the park {outside of allowed hunting}.
Yes you could. You could take the commuter rail to Kingston or Plymouth and then Uber to the Forest. I would definitely recommend getting or downloading a good map Before you go. It's easy to get lost in there. Beginners should always start at the ranger station on Cranberry Road
There are no paths for dirt bikes, motorized vehicles with the exception of snowmobiles are prohibited on any of the paths, trails, and fire roads. Plenty of places to mountain bike but no rentals on site.
I have found Eastern Hognose Snake, Ribbon Snake, Garter Snake, Smooth Green Snake, Northern Water Snake, Black Racer, and Redbelly Snake.
