Yes! We have donation bins in the big gravel parking lot and by the main entrance. If you need a donation receipt, you'll have to request it at the front desk. We can use more than you might think, but will always accept clean blankets, bowls, leashes, even empty prescription bottles (just be sure to remove labels and clean out)!

Vaccine clinic is Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday from 9-10:30am, first come first served basis.

Don't quote me, but I am pretty sure it's a 75 dollar adoption fee, and 5 bucks for a portable cat carrier, and 5 or 10 for a collar. You will have to buy other supplies elsewhere. Love my cats I got from there!

Homeward Bound AKA Camden County Animal Shelter has so so many pit bulls needing homes. Cape May Animal Shelter in Cape May Court House also does low cost.

I applaud you for coming back to see her. She is not gone she will be there until she gets adopted or goes to a rescue. They are not gone in 2 hours. I just adopted or fostering a dog for them and I was hoping the owner came back and the owner never check back in the dog is hurting and it's been months. Once you surrender a dog that's it. I assure you the dog is there and you need to speak with the director. They are a private organization now and not part of the county. No dog gets adopted in 2 hours it's probably getting checked out in a quarantine area. If you're that hell-bent on seeing the dog then it might get legal. Again speak to the director he's a fairly decent guy if he's the one that still there right now. I love these people I have taken many dogs from them that were difficult dogs and they are fantastic. I often scold the owners that surrender their dogs for not coming back or ever checking in. I have three dogs for years now who's prior owners visit video call and text.

If you're looking for a very loveable dog that's a little older, I'm actually in possession of a Beagle that is approximately 9 years old. He is a great guy, he loves to cuddle and play. Low maintenance, he is a bit above 25lbs. but he's a fantastic companion!! He'll cuddle up in bed w/ you if that's what you're looking for, or he's happy to plop down right on the floor. His name is Barney and he is a great dog!!!

You may want to message the rescue directly with your requirements/desires. I would reach out to a few different ones as well to make sure you get the right fit! Keep in mind too, that even potty trained dogs can have some accidents when adjusting to a new home. Also, some rescues wont adopt to renters, so I would get a note from the manager/landlord written up and signed for them.

They do have special events/days every so often when adoption fees are waived. Also if you are a veteran, certain pets may have their adoption fee waived. You would have to call to get details for both scenarios.

There's a bird rescue, i believe SJ avian rescue ( the bird store fancy feathers in Hilltop would know) & AWA does small animals sometimes, but there's small animal rescues around. Good luck! Adopt don't shop

We do not provide vet visits at the shelter. You would have to take your puppy to the veterinarian. For our spay and neutering we use Blackwood Animal hospital. They do a wonderful job and would take great care of your puppy.
